Look, Charles Darwin, while a brilliant scientist, is of historical interest only. Science has moved far beyond Darwin's (and Owen's) initial ideas.

No one, anywhere, is forced to accept the evidence for any scientific theory. You are free to stick your fingers in your ears if you wish and lie your head off if you must but the facts *don't* lie and they ain't gonna suddenly disappear cos your simplistic and childish theology is threatened by them. Evolution is a fact and the Theory of Evolution is the best explanation we have for that fact. Deal with it.

Science was never a strong subject for me. I don't understand it, I'm not good at it, I was responsible for more than a few scorch marks in my high school's chem lab. And yet I understand evolution quite well, if not perfectly. No one's forcing me to believe in it, it just makes more sense than some mythical being clapping his hands and poof, here we are.

Scientists don't "force" people to believe evolution, they just expect any alternative theory to be supported by evidence to the same, if not a greater, extent.
The only forcing they are doing is forcing ID to go through the same rigorous scientific justification process evolution did, because they care about science enough that they want to keep unproven and unprovable crackpot ideas out of it.
That ID can't pass muster as science (and won't try), but frequently tries to pass itself off as some without doing the legwork, says a lot more about ID proponents than scientists. They are either lazy, stupid, deceitful, or all of the above.

Their heyday was the late 19th and early 20th century. They were brought down by the economic collapse of 1928.
Most Darwinists saw science as a profitable toy thay they could exploit like anything else.

I have yet to see anyone have a biology book shoved in their faces and told THIS IS DARWIN'S THEORY! I have see fundies force their bibles into peoples faces and say their outlandish rantings are real.

I think you've got it the wrong way round. You should have said:

Otherwise you'd be willing to have the Bible rewritten in line with current biological & cosmological evidence, with diagrams, formulae & equations explaining how the universe came to be, how this planet was formed and all the living things on it evolved. With absolutely no mention of a nebulous & fictional deity.

I see you have no clue how science works. If you get caught lying you lose your job . There's no second chances. You're completely discredited and nobody in their right fucking mind would hire you for research. You'd have to have someone looking over your research results if you claimed the sky was blue.

As I pointed out, it's not allowed you twit. Lying about your findings is punished quite severely in the scientific community.

Who's forcing you and how? As I've often said, you can believe any damned fool thing you want, just don't expect the rest of us to agree with you without some evidence to back it up. Evidence which, it just so happens, evolution has in spades.
Science and evolutionary theory don't work that way.
And you don't have to accept anything you don't want to and I'm not going to try to make you [if you won't accept the evidence there's nothing more I can or want to do to convince you], but that doesn't mean it's not the truth. On the other hand, the way school curriculum is decided on (at the whim of a few people with usually very little science education) I'm going to fight it the whole way when people try to put pseudoscience (at best) into science classrooms. That's not the same as forcing.

Science is an academic field of study, not a religion or philosophy. Yes science is different than and not to be confused with that other "religion" Scientology.
Science offers us some valuable tools to help us better learn and understand about the world we live in and the universe. One of these tools is the Scientific Standard. When we have a scientific hypothesis to be tested, we put it through the Scientific Standard to see if the hypothesis holds up to a theory or scientific law.
The problem with you creationist/intellegent design people is that you want your beliefs to get a free pass from the scrutiny of the scientific standard and want everyone to accept it as fact with no questioning or dissent, and when it doesn't happen you claim anything from hidden agenda to persecution.
I haven't seen anyone who believes in the theory of evolution force anyone else to believe it without questioning or dissent, but unfortunately I have seen it the other way around.
For every sane people in the world, that is called CONCERN about the perversion of science. So, yes, they love science.

Huh, what does he or she mean? Science should not be taken over by the church or fundie pastors, no "Darwinist" (or rather "realist") would promote such a stupid idea.
Nobody is forced to believe in evolution. It is happening whether people believe in it or not. Just as night follows day, no matter if someone said "I don't believe in night". Some fundies however, are doing anything and everything they can to force others to believe in their fairy tale book.

They can't force you to believe in evolution any more than you can force them to believe in Jesus. What they can do is present rational arguments backed by mountains of evidence. That's good enough for us rational people, but will never be good enough for you fanatics, so it's pointless to try to convince you. Stay in your state of wilful ignorance.
Because you idiots are telling children who don't know anything about your stupid theory. And yours is easy to understand since it can be explained in 3 words (magic did it) while ours requires time, patience and understanding of science to achieve.
Also the theory of evolution is irrevocably linked to biology. None of the other stuff we give you like medicine would work if evolution was wrong...
