I agree with Kingenschmitt. This is a Christian country. Let only Christians pray.

Let's take a look at the First Amendment, shall we?
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
What part of that do you not understand?
Kingenschmitt? You mean the former navy chaplain cashiered for preaching a "born-again" sermon at the funeral of a CATHOLIC and refusing to follow the age old Chaplain tradition of preaching ecumenical services to fit the religion of the deceased service member? If you can't respect all religions, then don't disrespect your country and military service and become a damn chaplain! I don't respect much of what you or that unAmerican jerk says.
Odd how God seems to be staying the fuck out of this debate?
There was no crispy fried Yogi lightning strike.
Even more sadly, no burning Bush!
You're damn right it is! Without a dobt! No one could argue that!
By the way, how _are_ you posting from medieval Europe?
You know, if the other religions stopped wasting their time on pointless prayer, you'd be falling even further behind, so be very careful what you wish for!
Yes, I said wish, not pray.
Treaty of Tripoli by Thomas Jefferson
Art. 11.
As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
