Excuse me? Not only are you not in any position to make such arrogant and broad claims, with the inability to read minds and all, you seem to be glossing over the fact that we are not the ones who live in fear of the temper tantrums of an invisible man in the sky.
Christianity is actually the most intelligent, rational religion or belief system one can possibly hold.
Belief systems and religions are not rational, but rather inherently irrational. Rational thinking not only does not, but indeed cannot, rely on blind faith alone, which is the cornerstone of every religion making claims for which they have no evidence.
Further more, belief systems, religions, and ideologies are not "intelligent". Intelligence is a property of self aware beings, not ethereal and ephemeral concepts.
And, prayer is a rational acknowledgement of the limited existence of human beings on this earth and the ever-present power and glory of the Divine Architect who created us all in His image.
But only christian prayer, right? not the prayers of jewish people who's deity the christians hijacked? Not the prayers of the various pagan faiths that christianity hijacked?
Furthermore, throughout history, Christians have been among the most intelligent, kindest, and even most scientific, people who ever lived.
And that proves what? Are you claiming that non christians or non believers cannot also be kind, intelligent, and scientific people? More likely people can be all those things despite belonging to a religion that, in it's fundamentalist incarnation, shun's science, villifies intelligence, and reserves it's kindness for fellow travellers and potential converts.
