Explain/disprove one fact atheists?
God knew the earth was round by saying that hell was in the center. How did the bible know this if no man knew it? all the facts in the bible that are shown, how did the bible know it without God making sure it got in there.

I'd like a cite on the verse that says "center," but the fact is, many ancient peoples knew the Earth was round, because they saw ships disappear over the horizon. It didn't take divine knowledge to see that. Also, there are verses that use phrases like "four corners" that Flat Earthers have used to justify their beliefs; why is your interpretation more accurate than theirs?
Oy... *facepalm*
No. The Bible did not "know" that the Earth was round, and never said that hell was in the center of the Earth.
And there ARE no "facts" in the Bible.
Cite a verse that says that Hell is in the center of the Earth. Hell is sometimes treated in popular culture as though it's underground, but this concept isn't actually Biblical; it was borrowed from various other ancient underworld concepts. What's more, we know that Hell ISN'T underground, because we know what's there.
Everything has a center. Hell, my flat panel monitor has a center. Also, you assume a lot on one word. Do you even know that it is the correct translation and not the result of translators seeing it as the best fit from their modern perspectives?
@quantum mechanic
There is no hell.
There are far too many idiots.
This will change.
So, you're planning either to invent hell, or go on a murder spree. I don't see any other method :p
Explain/disprove one fact atheists?
Okay. I'm not a scientist, but I'll give it my best shot.
God knew the earth was round by saying that hell was in the center.
Hell, isn't the center. The nickel-iron alloy core is. The mantle (if that's what you mean by Hell, but I doubt that) is the second layer after the crust and before the inner core. This is extremely simplistic explanation, I'm sure one of my cohorts here can do it better than I.
How did the bible know this if no man knew it?
Well the bible got it wrong, so I wouldn't count it. Also, in various mythos there is a place of punishment and a place of rewards. The Greeks (which Christians stole the River Styx from) for example used Tartarus for "hell" and Elysium for "heaven."
all the facts in the bible that are shown, how did the bible know it without God making sure it got in there.
As I said, they could have easily stolen ideas from other cultures.
> God knew the earth was round by saying that hell was in the center. How did the bible know this if no man knew it?
Before we go into this - book, chapter and verse, please.
And which of the Hells the Bible describes is, in fact, in the center, speaking in exact terms? Gehenna, Tartarus or Hades? Just curious. You can only have one in exact center, naturalistically speaking.
Give just one Bible passage that says Hell is at the center of the earth.
Just one.
Oh, wait. That's right. You can't!
Typical fundy. neo Leo doesn't even have adequate knowledge of the book he's always using to support his false claims.
I remember a verse about the "circle of the earth". If you want to (try to) prove the Bible is right about something, that verse makes more sense than what you're trying to claim, even if circle =/= sphere.
All the facts? So water has turned to blood, the sun revolves around the earth, a woman was made from the rib of a man, the earth is flat and god both does not know but does know what is in man's heart?
Haha, I remember looking at a cross-section of the planet in my fourth grade science text wondering where the hell Hell was. That's all it took to make a fairly intelligent (I think) 10 year old wonder if maybe Hell didn't mean something else. I don't know if I understood 'literal' and 'figurative' at that point, but I was pretty damn sure demons weren't swimming in molten rock underground.
The only references to the location of Hell that I can recall are along the lines of people being "cast down". While that would imply that Hell is beneath the Earth's surface, that only translates to 'centre' because we know it's round. You can still be cast down from a circle. Which, incidentally, is mentioned in the bible. A circle with corners, no less.
The bible says that hell is beneath. The bible also says that the earth is on pillars, is gods footstool and you can see all of the earth from a tall mountain.
Could you idiots please read your own book before trying to argue. It's really annoying that we spend more time trying to correct your side of the argument rather than debating our own side.
Lo neo Leo, i Grunter's sister. want cum rok show me an grunter. Ok, now pay attention this time: before there were buildings and pollution, the curve of the distant horizon was visible. And when ships sailed away, they dropped below that horizon.
And if it hasn't escaped your notice, something doesn't have to be round to have a center.
all the facts in the bible that are shown
Like the misleading crap about bats and birds and 4-legged insects? I have a better question, fundie.
Why did your god deliberately fill the bible with lies?
Not hell, sheol. Hell is a Christian mangling of the Greco - Roman afterlife with a weird torture fetish.
Don't know of any biblical verse which implied it was in the centre, but they may have meant this!

Your dinner table has a centre, this does not make your dinner table a sphere!
I don't recall where in the Bible the location of hell is given, but if it does indeed specify the 'centre of the world' - so what? Even a flat disc would have a centre.
Secondly, there's no evidence that there's anything in the centre of the planet except some very hot metal. Not satan's torture chamber or an army of demons.
"all the facts in the bible that are shown"
Ah yes, such as, for example:
Rabbits chew the cud. When Lapines are actually Caecotropes (requiring to consume their pellets to re-digest their food to extract the maximum nutrients). It's bovines & their ilk that are Ruminants
Bats are birds that lay eggs. When it's been proven that Chiroptera are mammals like us, that give birth to live young.
And the cherry on the scriptural cake:
Pi = 3 When mathematics & science as a whole which states that Pi = 3.141592653589793...
You, your 'beliefs' and the book of fairytales said 'beliefs' are based on FAIL.
The Divine Comedy might have said something like that, but I'm pretty sure the bible didn't. But, hey, one joke is just as good as another.
The bible is not sentient.
How can the bible 'know' anything?
The bible was written by man - so if the bible 'knew', the men who wrote it 'knew'.
I suppose you are one of these clowns who believe that god wrote the bible himself. Direct to the King James version. In English.
“Explain/disprove one fact atheists?
God knew the earth was round by saying that hell was in the center.”
Your imaginary friend says the imaginary place is in the middle of the circle that is the Earth? This is a ‘fact,’ in your eyes?
Every single descriptionj of the Earth in the Bible is flat.
The sun spends the night under the Earth, in a little doghouse.
God will pick Earth up by the edges one day, and shake the evil people off it like a carpet.
The sky rests on the edges of the Earth.
There are places you can stand and see all the kingdoms of the world at the same time.
“How did the bible know this if no man knew it?”
You would have to prove tha tHell exists, and that it’s in the center of the Earth, and that the Bible says so, before we need to do anything to refute it.
“all the facts in the bible that are shown, how did the bible know it without God making sure it got in there.”
Facts like Pi=3.00000. Facts like Tyre never being rebuilt. Facts like rain coming through the solid sky when God opens trapdoors above the clouds.
You may want to know about false premises and straw men. When the premises are false, so are the conclusions using those as arguments. A false premise, for instance, is your claim that hell exists. Another is that a story of an imaginary underworld corresponds to your doctrine of hell. Yet another is the mistranslation of some scripture to misconstrue it into supporting your preconceived dogmas.
Confused?
