You know, I've seen a CHL for my state, and no where does it say on it that the holder has a legal authority to shoot anyone who might possibly be a lesbian who is entering a public bathroom. Do the ones Texas issues give you that authority? I looked up the Texas DPS web page and no, it does not.

Do these morons even know what the inside of a women's restroom is like in the US? Do they think there's some kind of public area where people pull down their pants or something? In my nearly 40 years of using them, I've never seen anyone else's privates. I'm sure I've shared a restroom with many trans people, but fuck if I can tell.

Why is the first, almost knee-jerk, reaction these people have to hearing about trans-people almost always “Dey want to get into the baffrooms and look at other people’s junk!!!111!!!”?
I can only imagine what is means to be transgendered, but I would guess the bathroom arrangements would be very low on the list of things to worry about. (Except maybe a fear of armed nutcases checking if you are pre- or post-op before they let you in the correct bathroom.)

Personally, I find their bathroom fears as outlandish, as they are amusing. I might not know the exact legal procedure in US, but from my own experience, those hypothetical pervs would be waaay better served by buying a porn mag, than try to even change their legal data, much less undergoing irreversible and(I guess for a cis person it would be) traumatic surgery, just to look at somebodies "parts". ;)
Somehow, a transwoman with a full bladder doesn't sound as dangerous for your daughters than a violence-threatening gun-nut father whose choice of words makes it sound like he sees them like objects/possessions, Larry...
As for the UK, El Paso, Texas had six murders in 2010.
