Wow, I'm suprised and sorry to hear that. I thought she was a Christian. Look at all the things she did that the world would consider good and saintly. Yet, if she truely was not converted (I hope she was!), her good works were dead and ultimately filthy menstration rags before God.

Dude, I don't know if you're a Christian trying to make us look bad, or simply a fucking lunatic, but stop it. You're a sick asshole who looks worse than the people who get posted here, and I guarantee you'll never find a quote of your own on the main page, so stop tryng.
Oh look, our resident troll is back. "Torture Her" is such a mouthful I'll just call him Randy.
Regarding the quote; though Mother Theresa was no saint despite what her public relations department would have us believe, I'm sure she is eminently more qualified to enter the make-believe land called Heaven than Saved by Grace_06, simply based on her charity alone.
Saved by Grace_06 is a dude, dumbass.
The rest of the thread is just stupid. It's not even worth commenting. What a bunch of tools.
@MarylandBear: it would, wouldn't it?
@saved by grace_06 and the rest of that thread: CATHOLICS ARE CHRISTIANS YOU MORONS. where the flying, shitting, nipple-tweaking fuck did the notion get started that catholics are not christians??? good grief. her good deeds are now completely null and void just because she was a member of a different country club?
By the qualifications set forth in your Holy King James Bible, Catholics are just as saved as fundies are. As far as her good works go, open your Holy King James Bible to Matthew 25:31-46, one of those passages that fundies love to ignore rewrite interpret correctly.
Mother Theresa did a helluva lot more than you'll ever do, dipshit. She was a good and generous woman and how DARE you put her down! I'll bet you'd never step foot in one of the poorest countries in the world to help the needy. Until you've done all that she did, SHUT THE FUCK UP.
At times like these, I just have to wonder... if Catholicism isn't Christianity, and Catholicism is traced back to the original Christian community... what does that mean for other Christian churches?
An ad-hominem against a dead Christian.
Whoop-de-doo.
sbg_06 obviously has no intention of getting off his complacent buttocks and performing good works. BTW, evangelizing does not constitute "good works".
I'll bet that if Christ was reincarnated in this age, the fundies would nail Him to a tree. Fucking pharisees.
Alexander DeLarge, you really need to turn off the Beethoven.
If you don't, we'll strap you to a chair and make you watch nothing but religious documentaries for a few weeks.
These guys are so caught up in the whole "grace, not works" thing that they tend to believe that works are actually going to hurt their chances, no matter how much grace they have. Thus, they end up allergic to works, and accomplish nothing at all. Then they have to spew invective at folks who have many works, just to stop themselves feeling small.
It's rather pathetic, really.
What's that quote -- two busy hands accomplish more than two thousand hands clasped in prayer...?
@ Manos, I didn't know that grace was a criterion for the fundies...I thought it was faith alone. They have a long way to go to achieve anything approaching grace, imo.
The "dead and ultimately filthy menstration rags before God" is based on a quote from the Old Testament, one of the Prophets-Isaiah, I think . Possibly Jeremiah. I'd have to go look it up to be sure, but it is a biblical reference and not just a random crazy saying of a lone religious fundamentlist.
I'm shocked that people didn't know that she was Catholic.
By the way, Saved by Grace, the Pope is Catholic, too.
Mother Teresa...
I can surely see how she's the work of the devil.
All that helping people. Must be hard to resist the temptation of Satan.
You. Are. An. Ignorant. (Insert obscenity here; I'm too weary.)
Is this the same Mother Teresa who took money donated for humanitarian aid and used it to build religious institutions instead of hospitals, and obtained donations from third world dictators which was used for "charitable works" to different people than those it was originally stolen from?
Sure, the original post is repulsive in its inhumanity, but Mother Teresa was hardly as perfect as everyone makes out.
@290894 @290861 Please please please stop hanging from my balls. You make a fool of yourself by trying to troll the troll. And its obvious you are a female with an inferiority complex with your continued use of the word "wannabe". You don't have a dick. Look in the mirror. I know it hurts to be inferior to us men but get over it already, and prepare for brutal rape you sad sad woman. This is my last post on this thread. Any other posts under my name are made by a foolish inferior woman who wishes to discredit the great torture troll. You have failed woman. Prepare for rape. And don't forget. Have a really nice day.
That whole thread, and the OP's username are basically the reason why I'm not a Protestant. I can't stand the "grace by faith alone" doctrine.
Obviously, not all Protestants go to such extremes, but the official doctrine to me just implies that you can be the most evil, nasty human being on the planet, but get into Heaven because you "omg believe in JEBUS!!111" But Fundies take it to the most extreme level, to the point where it's just really fucked up.
I genuinely don't know where this whole "Catholics aren't Christians" idiocy came from - something left over from the Reformation? :P
Also, "filthy menstruation rags"? Wtf? I have mensruation 'rags' - they don't get 'filthy'. But then, Fundies think anything to do with women's vaginas is filthy, so yeah, hardly surprising.
@Torture Her: I'm not quite sure if you are a troll, or just proof that not all ignorant fuckwits are fundies. Either way, I am sure you are an asshole. *shrug*
@Raven Blackhawk: Mother Teresa was a fuck. Read Missionary Position .
@Saved by Grace_06: No matter how much you fight it, catholics are christians. Sorry. Although "filthy menstration rags" is a good description of the works of Mother Teresa.
I love the lack of edit function.
Anyway, after reading the rest of the responses, I would like to state that a) I know Torture Her is a troll, and b)I apologise for calling Mother Teresa's works "filthy menstration rags."
Menstration is not "filthy." It is natural. I am sorry if I offended anyone.
Instead, I will compare Mother T's "good" works to the towel used to clean up the santorum after a drunken night of too much fun.
You know, if this is true, God must be a real ass. I don't think I want to worship Him. Good job, fundies! You've cost yourselves another!
Because, naturally, actions don't mean anything. It's all about who you bow to. Beyond that, you could go kill babies and torture little kittens and you'll still go to heaven, right Grace_06?
Wow...filthy menstration rags before God.
I have to use that on someone.
"YOU ARE JUST A FILTHY MENSTRATION RAG BEFORE GOD!!!1111oneone."
So, by your logic, the nicest people in the world are nothing as long as they're atheists, but if a major tool believes in God, he's on Easy Street?
riiiiight...
Fuck off randy-troll.
the only cock you could use is the cock in your mouth. How is your dad bytheway?
Teresa was a christian, but she was also a cunt, much like our resident pussy here.
"It is a just retribution for improper sexual misconduct"
Mother Teresa, on AIDS
"I think it is very beautiful for the poor to accept their lot, to share it with the passion of Christ. I think the world is being much helped by the suffering of the poor people."
-- Mother Teresa, on poverty
"It is the greatest enemy of peace."
-- Mother Teresa, on abortion
Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu was a sick, twisted woman and a prime example of the harm that fundie's can do.
That being said, it doesn't mean that Catholics aren't Christian.
@Detrs
The "grace alone" doctrine always seemed to me like an excuse not to help others. "The poor you will always have" or something along those lines.
My pastor made an interesting remark about "the poor will always be with you."
He said it wasn't meant as a statement that there will always be poor people, as much as it was Christ telling his followers "you will always have poor people around because you're going to be so busy helping them. "
Now, I'm not sure how much of that is mainstream Christian theology and how much of it is my pastor's very string belief in a social justice ministry. I still think its a good point, though.
I am a fool and all my opinions are meaningless.
I have a very, very small penis which is why I obssess so much over women.
Plus I think I might be repressing my homosexuality.
So there.
I hate myself, but I want everyone to hate me even more than I hate myself. I'll be back later to tell you that I've won, but right now I have to go find a rat to suck some of the puss out of the pimples all over my face.
Strange that Old Viking is the only one here who actually gives a shit what the Torture troll thinks.
hmmm. Vikings have a reputation for rape and pillage. Rape and pillage are the subject matter of TH's droppings. Coincidence?
I have problems with Mother Teresa, but none because of her religion or views (more with how she executed them).
And Torture Her, shut up. Now.
Ah, that old canard again.
"You do not conform to my belief system, therefore you are incapable of doing anything good".
So the FundieWorld view is that alleviating the suffering of lepers (which, correct me if I'm wrong, is something Jesus himself is supposed to have done?) somehow counts for less than blind adherence to a particular doctrine. Way to go there for advertising the moral bankruptcy of fundamentalism with a 50-foot neon sign.
so...just because she wasn't christian automatically makes all her good deeds null and void?
right, that makes a lot of sense.
like everything the Dalai Lama has done means nothing. [/sarcasm]
Fundies amuse me. They are too wrapped in the whole "by faith you will be saved line", to actually do anything useful other than spout off crap about which translation of the Bible is more "holy" and see the end times in every little sign.
Regardless of how you fell about God, the fact is, Mother Teresa's faith prompted her to do more for those people than any of those losers could even begin to. She sat there, handed out bread and water, and took care of people. Those people would hand out water, ask "Are you saved?", then spend their energies on converting them rather than helping them.
Yet, if she truely was not converted (I hope she was!), her good works were dead and ultimately filthy menstration rags before God
...Eww. Does Grace_06 know what kind of image that conjures up?
If doing good to others is not worth because you don't believe in God, honestly, it's not worth the effort. Jesus said, you can't love a God you can't see if you don't love a neighbour, who you see. And since all women, saved or not, menstruate, don't be a parasite and don't take advantage on her works. Be consistent.
Now, these idiots wonder why God is taking his hand out of America. Well, a woman goes to a poor country, helps the poorest among the poorest, gives them hope..........she's Catholic, so she can't be saved. A moron evangelical shoves the Bible in their throat, doing nothing, and he's a saint. There isn't a blinder man than the one who doesn't want to see.
Well, there has been a bit of argument against Mother Teresa, which I found odd -- then again I know very little about her. In any case, I enjoy th efundie sentiment that MT did good things (at least in their eyes), but she didn't worship the scary sky God in the appropriate manner so her efforts were not only in vein, but actually horrific and disgusting acts on par with terrorism.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
