It actually strikes at the basic tenet of the Judeo-Christian religion by questioning God's infallability. Not that any of this matters because modern science considers ID as religion disquised as "junk science". Teach your kids your religion in church and let mine be taught science in the schools, or are you so worried about your own faith that you doubt your OWN ability to pass your own beliefs on to your children?

There is no "missing link". Evolution is not some mysterious, barely understood "mystical" phenomenon. The rules of evolution are quite well understood and are used successfully every day. Granted, there are minor points that scientists quibble over but the process as a whole is understood.

Intelligent Design is rideculed by the scientific community. So far, nothing credible has been raised against Darwin's theories. Until there us, and until ID becomes credible, it will not replace natural selection.
There's an even worse one (at least in my opinion) in the answer segment. This guy says that he told his kids if they are taught 'Darwinistic goobledygook stand up in class and point at the nearest black kid and say you mean because he looks more like a monkey I must be better than him.'
Then it goes on about the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics that fundies love so much, and the Piltdown Man.
Unlike the one being discussed here, the one I refer to actually got some thumbs up (which is pretty sad)
