When they're trying to get teens into christianity or other dodgy things they make out it's harmless and that everyone does it. Same with creation theory "it's just a theory", they say, whilst spending an immense amount of time using this "theory" to create apostates.

I was walking along one day when I heard something from down a dark alley:

That's right...evolution is the means by which we recruit innocent young children into becoming filthy, unwashed heathens and join our dark army of heretics, infidels, and assorted blasphemers (assuming they are worthy of bearing such a prestigious title). We need to compete with you guys somehow, right?
One day I hope they will understand what 'theory' means.

We don't say "it's just a theory", you do. We say "Theory is a word we use in science to denote the best possible explanation to established scientific facts and if you disregard it, you are a moron".

The difference is that, thanks to that "theory", you can have anti-biotics and many other things that drugs don't give. And it's just a theory is because it's a theory. It's scientific jargon that you just don't understand.

For the record, she is that most interesting species, the British fundie . Yes, we have them. Though for the moment, they're more amusement than threat. Particularly as she gave her location as "Liverpool" when she was posting on the Richard Dawkins forums, which means she probably has to keep quite about her fundiform tendencies, as most Scousers I know would treat her as a pathetic joke.
Plus, why does it not surprise me that she's sniffing around coadie, another fundie troll whose disreputable record over at RDF is again on display for all to see? Those two deserve each other.
Oh, and Scarlets, if you should happen to be passing this way, get a brain. Preferably one with functioning brain cells that hasn't been poisoned by an insidious mind virus.
Unlike religion, which uses fear and misinformation to create mindless converts, science's goal is to inform on the natural world, and any "apostates" as you call them, occur naturally because the facts speak for themselves.

Evolution is a fact, It is a FACT that populations change genetically over time, it has been observed in the lab and in the field many times.
The THEORY of evolution explains the mechanisms by which these changes occur.
