*hasn't read the rest of this*
Yeah, they posed a threat to you, but the Japanese government WAS guilty in so many ways of so many crimes.
As a registered Japanophile, I think the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was the right decision. I've been to the museums, I've cried the tears, and it was a devestating and needless loss of life and excrutiating horror to those unfortunate enough to survive it who weren't extraordinarily lucky.
But only because the country was brain-washed by a militaristic government who were adament in the divinity of the emperor and his natural victory (as much a fallacy as J.C.'s own perfect victory) and as a result, if the bombs weren't dropped, every last Japanese man, woman and child would have fought to the death because of their culture and the horrible propaganda.
I think that almost everyone in the cities bombed was innocent, and that it was unfortunate, and if you aren't severely moved by the museums in the cities then there is something wrong with you, but I also think that it was the right decision, but that is was made by the Japanese government, and not America, in a sense (I'm a bitr wine'd up, I hope this makes sense).
