Well, just the fact that half the world is of one religion should be telling.

Ah, factually wrong :
1. Christianity 2.1 billion
2. Islam 1.3 billion
3. Secular/Atheist/Irreligious/Agnostic/Nontheist 1.1 billion
4. Hinduism 900 million
5. Chinese folk religion 394 million
6. Buddhism 376 million
etc.
This list shows that just 1/3 of the world is part of the Christian plurality. And no, it wouldn't be all that telling if it were 50%. Reasons are telling, not population figures.
Of course, fundies refuse to consider the other Christian groups, Catholics, Anglicans, etc as Christian unless they need to make up the numbers.
Half the world is not Christian, more like a third.
And in any case, It doesn't matter how many people believe in nonsense, it's still nonsense. If half the world believed that the sky was pink the sky would not turn pink.
And back when just about 100% of the world thought the Earth is flat, did it make the Earth flat?
Truth is not a democracy, and a lie believed by a billion people is nevertheless still a lie.
Of the third that are Christians
50% of the count (at least) are children, counted because of their parents
Many denominations with different dogma, often critical of the others path. NOT UNITED.
A third of the responders who claim to be Christians are not affiliated with any denomination.
Many other responders who claim to be Christians have no real belief but are safer from Christian prejudism by claiming belief. You gotta put up with a lotta crap in the Bible-Belt if you proclaim Atheism and you'll never rise to high office or be respected if you don't at least pretend to be a Christian.
In American polls Atheism went from 7% to 14% in a short period. I suspect it's even higher. There's a concerted effort in Fundieland to silence Atheists with laws. They know if people feel free to admit it and have a safer place to express it the pretentions would not be needed.
Well, just the fact that half the world is of one religion should be telling.
Well, just the fact that Christianity (only ~30% of world population, btw) itself is divided into more than 30000 different denominations, which often directly contradict each other in their central teachings, this fact should be telling.
Fixed.
So, mathematics not on the 'hoemskuling' curriculum, eh Disciple 3?
(and an internet to Amos right from the start!)
“Well, just the fact that half the world is of one religion should be telling.”
What’s more telling is that you only count most Christain religions when you want a majority. Otherwise, you don’t really think Mormons or Catholics are Christains, or any faiths that use the wrong version of the Bible…
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
