How the fuck could Jews be behind progressive causes? They're basically pseudo-Nazi religious fanatics who commit genocide against Palestinians while sieg heiling Benjamin Netanyahu. That's a far cry from being leftist or progressive. The whole "everything I don't like is secretly controlled by teh Juice" thing is just retarded.

So Stormfront Boy chides all Jews for being Nazis while there are Neo-Nazi websites that are politer and use less pernicious stereotypes; the way he makes his Jewish stereotypes talk is, of course, pure Stormfront.

When it's pointed out to him that the great majority of Jews aren't even Bibi supporters, and most not even Israeli, Stormfront Boy relies on the wisdom of collective guilt to damn every single Jew nonetheless (don't say being as racist as this doesn't take work). The "leftist" or "progressive" views that someone who relies on collective guilt holds is somewhat nearer to Stalin than the Hillary Clinton for whom 70% of American Jews voted. Preferably Stalin between August 1939 and June 1941.

And it's hardly surprising that SB doesn't like people blaming everything on "the Jews." He likes his attacks more targeted and, when you want to blame everything on someone, "rootless capitalist cosmopolitan" (i.e. Jew) or the like sounds much better.

Some factors:
1. Bar Mitzvah requires you to read from the Torah and some studies of scripture, so Jewish communities maintained a fairly high level of literacy even in Europe of the Early Middle Ages.
2. Due to restrictions on possible occupations and Jews being spread out across the Old World, many Jews were bankers or long-distance merchants (before they were barred from the latter as well) - occupations where intelligence is central.
3. Before the foundation of Israel, Jews were always a minority, and they are everyone's favourite scapegoat. Therefore, Jews are highly motivated to promote tolerance.

(Keep in mind that I am far from an expert on Judaism myself)

Well, it's true. Jews aren't actually behind everything bad in the world (honestly, they have nothing to do with most of it), and they're certainly not left-leaning with all the Orthodox idiots running around bulldozing neighborhoods and incinerating babies for the lulz. Blaming them for everything is just stupid.

Maybe if you were less ignorant of world events you would know that there are plenty of Israelites and Palestinians that are sick of this shit and protesting it, Jewish people speaking out against it all over the world. But for the record, one country cannot act on behalf of an entire group of people. One religion cannot act on behalf of an entire group of people. You gotta learn a lesson you should've learned in 3rd grade - that just because people look different from you does not make them a fucking hive mind.

The last line is correct, but the rest is stupid.
First, LOOOTS of Jews are non-religious or even atheist. Second, the majority of Jews outside Israel (and actually, a significant portion within it) are against the "turf war" in Israel. One of my good friends emigrated to the States from Israel, is a former IDF tech, and thinks the Israeli/Palestinian fighting is abhorrent & senseless.

Being theist doesn't make one evil, and being atheist doesn't make one good. You, for example, are not a good person, but are rabidly atheist/anti-theist. I am not a bad person, but I am a non-theist Shintoist/Buddhist. And I'm pretty sure we have some fantastic Pagan types here, too.

Of course, it's our resident militant-to-the-point-of-fascism atheist stereotype, so why am I expecting sense?

If I take "progressive" - which seems to me a rather vague term - to mean pretty much "left-wing", then I think you're pretty much spot-on with reason 3, but reasons 1 and 2 have more to do with Jews being intelligent than Jews being left-wing. Sadly for leftists, "intelligent" and "left-wing" are not synonymous (Pol Pot didn't think much of educated people, and nor, seemingly, do those leftists liable to denounce top schools/universities as bastions of the privileged children of the "economically exploitative classes").
