I've been thinking a lot lately about how many people will think it hasn't been the Rapture because they weren't taken. I'm really finding recently that the ones who think they are christian - better than most christians - and are actually not very good at all if you look at how they live or teach, are also the ones who won't listen. Some are so totally bllinded they will be the ones who say Lord! Lord!

I have been known to allow myself to be blindfolded and end up saying "Lord! Lord!", yes. Your point?
I'm pretty sure if all the REAL christians disappeared, we'd notice. I think your definition of christian is different than mine. To you, a christian is someone who tries to stifle gay rights, bash liberals, force women to keep their pregnancies and generally hate everyone and everything on the planet. To me, a christian is someone who follows the teachings of christ by being kind to people, accepting diversity and generally loving (or at least liking) everyone and everything.

Isn't that the entire membership of Rapture Ready, in damn near every post they've ever made on that board?

Did we miss the boat on this one?

Like a bunch of these posters on a site called "Rapture Ready"...oh sorry, didn't realize that you're one of them.

The bible says many will call out my name and I will say "Begone, I don't know who you are."...or something like that.

I think it's "Oh, you go to hell."

So maybe the Rapture happened already and you were Left Behind©. I don't suppose it would occur to the arrogant, hate-filled, judgmental, holier-than-thou hypocrites on RaptureReady that they might be the ones God decides to include with the damned.

I laughed myself sick over that one!
Matthew 7:21-23:
21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
Not the least bit Fundy. Admirable to see a Christian warn the Raptards that although they think they're better than most Christians, the are actually not very good.
I have proof that the rapture took place in January, 1980. Just check out this link:

Man, that would be awesome to fuck with the fundies and give them an exact date for when the rapture took place and say, "Oh, I'm sorry. Did you miss it?"
Do any of these fundies own a mirror?
This all feels very self-referencing, in respect of you, Readytogonow! It really does.
You sound sanctimonious and self-justifying, larded together with dollops of Phariseeim.
I wonder if this person is trying to subtly hint to the Rapture Ready crowd that they might be the ones "left behind."
Not that your average RR reader has any ability whatsoever to pick up on subtle hints.
You wheren't taken, ergo you are not a good Christian.
But I don't get it. I was taught by a very devot protestant Christian during my first years in school, and I have never heard of the Rapture till I got to fstdt. I learned that we die and on the last day the devout Christians are taken to heaven, the rest of humankind is transported downstairs.
But, as you can live your whole life as a poor excuse for a human being and repent on your last day, and go to heaven - I don't give much for Christianity. I'd rather live my life according to Budhist beliefs - what you do in this life comes back to you in the next. And if you live a really devout life, you get to not be reborn.
As I have been unconscious several times due to epilepsy, I am not afraid of dying. I believe that it's just more of the nothing you experience during unconsciousness. That does not mean I WANT to die now, I want to live, long and happy, being empathic to everyone I meet.

Bwahahaha! You're joking, right?
Some are so totally bllinded they will be the ones who say Lord! Lord!
Thought so.
Kitourahime:
Really? So, um, what are you doing on Saturday...?
(Just kidding. I couldn't resist.)
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
