I have noticed that every political office in Butler County and Poplar Bluff Missouri should be filled with Christians. I am sick and tired of non-Christians thinking that they have to run things. I think that it is time to kill more atheists rather than elect them.

@Punch
I'm sure there are plenty of closeted atheist officeholders that pretend to be religious to have any chance at all to get elected.
Homosexual politicians didn't come out of nowhere. Atheists are probably where homosexuals were 60 years ago.

A glance at the application form for public employment in Poplar Bluff, MO (PDF)* is absolutely shocking.
They state, in no unclear terms, that they couldn't give a flying fuck about your ethnic, religious, or other background.
Nowhere on that form can you check off that you're a white, Anglo-Saxon, protestant, Jesus loving, gun-toting, American Idol watching, home schooling, arch-conservative bigot.
Disgusting. What is the country coming to?
* The link just died on me. :-(
You know, I just love how the other Christians in the thread didn't think juz me's comment was worth shouting down or addressing and don't seem to be bothered by it, yet they're chiding those who ARE complaining about it for not being believers. And by love, I mean "loathe." Look guys, the idiot OP said that he'd rather see atheists put down like stray dogs rather than elected to public office, and you actually think the real problem is that someone isn't believing hard enough? I realize he's probably in the minority, but for fuck's sake, please try to clean your fucking house before bitching about someone else's. If you're trying to sell your faith, this is a piss-poor way to do it.
@Shax:
Well, there was Rorshach, who said "Kill more atheists? How Christian of you to say that. And here I thought Christians were taught to love, not hate", just down from the OP. No way to know whether this person is a Christian, but at least it's something.
But I agree that in general there aren't nearly enough people criticizing this kind of hatred.
I think what you said last may actually be an excellent reason for atheists to be the ones to keep on running things.
Otherwise you get irrational, arrogant, potentially murderous zealots of flexible morals and ethical views who have zero compunctions about abusing their office and burning their detractors as the stake.
Thou shalt not kill. Does that ring a bell? It's right there in the Ten Commandments, ya know.
Political offices should mirror the public. If every single voter is Christian, then maybe the offices can be filled with Christians as well. But, if the population elects non-Christians, then they should have seats in office. You can't just kill off people you don't like.
" I think that it is time to kill more atheists rather than elect them. "
Because atheists, because they don't believe in god (even though atheists are atheists because they believe in god) have no moral standards to prevent then from being serial killers, homosexual child molesters, and tax raisers.
Because the Founding Fathers wanted a one-party fascist state where people with minority opinions are silenced forever.
In reality, though, what makes this idiot think that political offices in Missouri are being run by non-Christians?

Oh, please, don't mind us. Go get yourself hanged in the free republic of Saudi Arabia. We won't stop you.

Don't you have something else you could be doing than posting this? You know, like fucking your livestock or your sister you know-nothing hayseed?
Well clearly the majority have no problem with non-Christians and in a democracy the majority gets to elect who they want regardless of whether you personally like it or not. I personally think that Michelle Bachmann should have a job screaming at pigeons professionally and NOT be a US Representative but I'm not about to kill her. I, as an atheist, have a strong moral code unlike some of you fundie Christians who immediately turn to murder as soon as the winds aren't blowing your way.
"I think that it is time to kill more atheists rather than elect them."
And I think it's time to report jiz (on)me here to the Feds. If this cuntbrain's BS hasn't already been flagged up & IP traced by them.
Expect that partyvan soon. >:D
Let me make something absolutely clear to you.
1) Your faith does not give you the right to kill atheists, or anybody else. The fact that you need to be reminded of this says volumes about your morality (or lack thereof) and reflects very, very poorly on your religion.
2) There is no enforceable religious test for office in this country, at any level of government. The Constitution specifically states this, and the bill of rights and the supremacy clause both prevent state and local governments from circumventing this concept. You do not have, nor are you entitled to, a Christian government.
Givin' Mississippi some serious competition for the title of "Worst State in the Union"! Although I am impressed that he spelled atheist correctly.
On a side note-I just read that some catholic high school in my home state just made female student sign a "no swearing" pledge while male students had to do no such thing. I thought I smelled hypocrisy this morning on my way to the car.

@dionysus, I have got to stop drinking hot tea while reading FStDT. What a mental image.
But remember, atheists are evil creatures, who, without God to guide them, cannot comprehend basic morality, and will go on a random killing sree on a whim.
time to kill more atheists
I notice how you say "more" atheists.
"More"?
How many have you already killed?
@#1501794
It's like talking to a brick wall with these people. You tell them facts & they plug their ears while warbling "The Star Spangled Banner".
Seeing that it's from Topix, ze might be a poe.

I suspect that both sisters and livestock would answer: "Beacause we have nothing but contempt for the little shit, and he knows that we'd kick his ass seven ways to sundy if he so much as looked like he wanted to try something funny". It may explain why he's a miserable, bitter Internet Tough Guy, BTW.

But considering that in French, "pigeon" is slang for "mark" (and considering the similarities in intellectual capacity between Tea Partiers and flying rats), one could argue that she's already doing this job.
Confused?
