Given that there was no 0 A.D., and given that Jesus was supposedly crucified around 30-something-ish A.D., I think you need to get your own story straight before selling it. And frelling learn to spell !
"it seems to me that you have forgotten the most famous of them all.... Forgive them lord for they do not know what they are doing."
Of course, the Bible gives 4 diferent accounts of what Jesus' last words were. Pick the one you like the best and that MUST be the truth.
"Jesus Christ, he was betryed by his decyle, taken to punches pilot, brutaly whiped and hurt, and then he took his place on the cross and died for our sins so that they could be forgivin 0 AD"
That is the worst writing I've seen here in a long time. Ugh.
Jesus' death supposedly happened at approximately 33CE. There was no year "0 AD."
yeah, I couldn't get past "punches pilot" either. I'm going to have to call TROLL here at the top of my voice. No one can be that ignorant. Unless they're significantly under 10 years of age.
and, incidentally, thanks for the site. It's short, but I'm a sucker for "famous last words".
There are a few factual errors I'd like to point out.
1. You mistake the birth of Jesus for his crucifixion. And even then, Jesus was born in aproximatly 4-6 BC. He died (depending on which gopel you read) at about 33, which means that he died somewhere from 27-29 AD.
2. Secondly, there were no pilots to be punched back then. Plus that Jesus didn't punch people, he was to peaceful for that. He prefered makeshift whips.
3. Well, if you are using MMORP slang, then yes, his "party of one" did "whipe" (whipe out, entire party died) at the cross.
4. He didn't "take" his place on the cross, people placed him on it. He didn't lie down and say "Okay people, you can drive those nails through now."
5. He didn't die for sins to be forgiven in 0 AD.
First of all because the year 0 doesn't exist.
Secondly because it is foolish to add before or after 0 when talking about 0. That's like saying: "It is -0 Celsius outside."
Thirdly, God doesn't work retroactively. He condemns and blesses future generations, but he has quite a bad record for rewarding people who did good things in the past.
And that is without comenting in your horrible spelling. Realy, get thee back to grade school.
Well, the crucifixion was in 34 AD (which stands for Ano Domini, not After Death), and I have no idea what a "decyle" is, but those are some pretty famous last words.
Apart from the fact that I don´t understand the punches, weren´t his last words, Eli, Eli, Laban sabat kani(oh God, God, why have you abandoned me?)
Looking over that "list"....it's complete poppycock. Poe died in a Baltimore hospital after being discovered in a gutter, comatose. He never regained consciousness.
That's just one of the errors and fraudulent statements. More than a few of the "last words" mentioned are jokes, known to be inaccurate, or outright made up.
Sigh.
We used to think that a million monkeys typing on a million typewriters would eventually produce works of beauty rivaling Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the internet, we know this is not true.
@Sandman
and I have no idea what a "decyle" is
Apparently, "deciple"
@MatildeApart from the fact that I don´t understand the punches
"punches pilot" = Pontius Pilate.
<<Really? And here I was thinking it was "Father into thy hands I commend my spirit"....>>
... Chop Suey!
I wonder what his name means...
Yes, that line is used in Chop Suey!. Great song. And his name...
urloveliftsmehi
ur love lifts me hi
Your love lifts me high
Forgive them lord for they do not know what they are doing.
Given the rest of the spin in the bible, he probably said - "God have mercy on your dumbasses!" - and he probably didn't expect any to be given. Oh, sorry, 'givin'.
decycles? Does that mean Mary Magdalene was a bicycle - or just the town bike.
Are unitarians unicycles?
Does that make Christians tricycles?
What?
No, no... this has to be a joke.
No one calls them decycles. No one could POSSIBLY be that dumb. Even the Bible Thumpers, who spell horribly can usually make desciple remotely correct phonetically. Same with Punches Pilot.
No way is anyone that dumb.
..Please?
Put aside the ignorance and stupidity of this poster for a minute. His main point is that God will forgive us because God's Son willingly was put to death for humanity's sins. Does that make any sense? It doesn't to me.
Let's see if any Christians can make any better sense of it than I in a Christian debate forum. Question for debate, "Is there any sense in the core message of the Gospel?"
OMG, I could not stop laughing! Especially after reading NotMe's post... hilarious!!
Dude, it don't even say decycle, it says decyle! Disial, decial, DeKyle... wtf?
~Jerod T.
Wow, can we get a stupidity rating bar on these as well? Dude can't spell, we get a "punches pilot", dramatic and stirring phrases like "whiped [sic] & hurt", and it all manages to occur in 0 AD; the year Christ was supposedly born. AMAZING!
Either you're a troll, or breathtakingly stupid. Your spelling is atrocious, there was no year 0 AD, and those weren't his last words in any of the gospels.
@Papabear
Of course, the Bible gives 4 diferent accounts of what Jesus' last words were. Pick the one you like the best and that MUST be the truth.
Actually, only 3. Matt and Mark managed to keep their stories straight between each other.
According to John, Jesus says: "It is finished."
According to Luke, Jesus says: "Into your hands I commit my spirit."
According to Matt and Mark, Jesus says: "My god, my god, why have you forsaken me?"
Of course, I asked one of my local fundies about the trinity and how 1 = 3 according to them. They said that God is one being, and that "the father," Jesus, and the holy spirit are God's constituent parts. So according to her, Jesus said: "Myself, myself, why have I forsaken myself?"
That "punches pilot" bit reminds me of back when I was a Christian, working as an aide for Catechism class.
The children had to memorize the Apostles' Creed, and one of them could never remember how to say "Pontius Pilate" no matter how hard he tried. So I told him to say it just like "punches pilot", and he did it perfectly after that, with a smile.
I feel kind of weird knowing that I came up with that "punches pilot" line before this guy.
"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." Don't paraphrase the fucking Creator.
As long as I'm proofreading: betrayed; disciple; Pontius Pilate; brutally whipped; forgiven; Born 0 AD, not died 0 AD.
And his last words were, "It is finished."
"punches pilot"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Please tell me you're jesting. You can't be THAT clueless, can you?
I consider myself fairly good at spelling in general, and I still use a spell-checker, as I know I'm far from infallible.
betryed - betrayed
decycle - disciple
punches pilot - Pontius Pilate
brutaly whiped - brutally whipped
forgivin - forgiven
0 AD? There was no 0 AD. There was 1 BC and then there was 1 AD.
Plus, Jesus supposedly died around 35 AD.
“it seems to me that you have forgotten the most famous of them all.... Forgive them lord for they do not know what they are doing.”
Those weren’t last words, though.
He died and rose again, right? And had more words?
And after that, appeared to Paul. Most of the New Testament is supposed to be Jesus’ post-mortem dictation, right?
This is more of the line spoken at the climax of the story. Which no one agrees on…
dar started.
Confused?
