Some religion that would encourage/support the withholding of care from anyone. Somehow the parable of the Good Samaritan comes to mind. The One who told that story might have an opinion about his so-called followers failing to follow the example he was clearly pointing out in that little tale!
On a more practical level, people who refuse to do their jobs normally don't get paid, or even get fired!
I have no doubt that, on the other hand, these people will cry religious persecution as soon as any doctor will withhold care from christians on basis of their beliefs and they would use any legal means available to them to sue said doctor.

Jesus hung out with prostitutes and tax collectors. He also urged tolerance of hated groups in his parable of the good Samaritan. Where do Christian doctors get the sheer brass to refuse to provide medical care to fruits? Not only is such a stance a full 180 away from Christ's example, it probably contravenes the Hippocratic Oath.
Hell, even Doctor McCoy gave medical attention to the Klingons.
Tempest in a teapot. Of course, there certainly ARE cases of doctors refusing LIFE-SAVING care on religious grounds, which is the height of ugliness IMO. This is a little more mundane - it's fertility clinic doctors. (Though the issue of what a Christian would be doing working at a fertility clinic when it's God who should be deciding who gets preggo or not, is a separate issue). In other words it's not life-threatening ignorance, it's just plain old run-of-the-mill ignorance.
If your religion is being as mean as possible to other people because they're different, and includes taking their money and doing invasive procedures but not finishing the job (as happened to Guadalupe Benitez at the fertility clinic), then I'm glad your religion has been attacked.
Some people, even some Catholics, have very different views of what constitutes "religion".

Who the fuck said they could? If you're a doctor and refuse to treat people based on their sexual/romantic preferences, then you're in the wrong profession!

No, what would be criminal would be for a doctor to withhold treatment (That could possibly contribute to the death of..) any person, solely on the basis of that persons sexuality (Which in many cases is not even an issue in medical treatment. It's not like all gays have a scarlet G on their forehead.)
