Law is rooted in religion, therefore, there is a moral aspect to law. Since there is no higher law than God's, All Societies throughout history have had laws that govern society as a means of restraining evil and bringing about justice, peace and order, I.E. an objective moral truth. (Rom. 13:1-7).
Medicine and Science also must rely on an objective moral standard, otherwise there would be no ethics to govern what they should do or not do.
Homosexuality has been around for a long time! So what? So has religion. Ask a Baboon how he feels about his homosexuality, and I bet he would not understand a word of it or know what that is. Scientists should be really careful in trying to ascribe human moral imperatives to the animal kingdom. I.E. the animal kingdom has nothing to teach us about morality!!!

Since there's not many baboons around, we make do with the nearest approximation many of us will find - a right-wing fundamentalist. Accomplishes about the same thing, though I think the baboon would be the more pleasant company personally.

...then, via Romans 13:1-5, Lawrence vs. Texas & Obergefell vs. Hodges has raped your 'Opinion' to death.
As do the opinions - on the US Constitution - of the SCOTUS. I refer you to the latter by them: on a certain 26th June...!
Animal societies have their own codes of morality, yet I've seen no evidence that they have a deity.
"Law is rooted in religion." "There is no higher law than god's".
I see we are having bullshit on toast for lunch, again. Might I suggest that it's far more likely that religion is rooted in law rather than the reverse? If god had the only laws that mattered, there would be no need for all you millions of toadies to try to do the job for him.
Medicine has its own situational ethics; case in point, triage.
Science has the laws of science, and an honest and competent religious scientist should come up with the same results as an honest and competent atheist scientist.

Ahem! Big Pharma.

a word of it or know what that is.
Oh, OK, then...how do you feel about your homosexuality, meansane?
"Medicine and Science also must rely on an objective moral standard..."
No, they rely upon an agreed upon subjective standard which can and has changed over time.
Sure they do, and most laws are only considered crimes if they hurt others. Sex does not hurt anyone else, if it is between consenting adults in private.
Also, I won't compare you to a baboon, because that would be cruelty to animals. They at least know how to use their brains, most animals use their instincts as well, which makes them a lot less dumb than fundies.
“Law is rooted in religion, therefore, there is a moral aspect to law.”
No, it need not be, and no it does not.
Law is about behavior, not morals.
For example, Dipshit Donnie’s defense when accused of rape was that ’she’s not pretty enough for me to rape her.’ That’s not a moral reason to choose not to rape a woman, but it’s sufficient for the law. The law only cares that you don’t rape. or murder. Doesn’t care if you respect them as individuals, or think they’re all scum but it’s too time-consuming to deal with the repercussions. Religion wants you to do the right things for the right reasons.
"Since there is no higher law than God's, All Societies throughout history have had laws that govern society as a means of restraining evil and bringing about justice, peace and order, I.E. an objective moral truth.”
Nope. First, you’re pretending that all societies have laws from the same lawmaker. Second, plenty of Christains will argue that the law does NOT support morality, that the ultimate morality is what happens to us when we die and are judged.
“Medicine and Science also must rely on an objective moral standard,”
This is why Catholic Hospitals closed rather than obey laws about Plan B?
"otherwise there would be no ethics to govern what they should do or not do.”
Different organizations in medicine have different moral codes. WRong again.
Confused?
