Short term observations cannot not be applied to long term situations. Just because some summers appeared to have record heat does not mean we have global warming. It's good to see some short term conditions that fly in the face of global warming lies.

Meh, nothing special here, I see lots of people make this kind of contradiction. They'll whine that several decades isn't enough to determine a long term trend then rejoice whenever one year was slightly colder than the last. It's textbook cognitive dissonance as far as I'm concerned.
Hang on. The Norse believed that just before the end of the world there would be three bitterly cold winters with no interceding summer. According to RR the Earth's getting colder...

So all the "evidence" you people see that makes you think "ZOMG teh rapturez is coming!!1!" can't actually be applied to your rapture, since magically sucking up a few thousand peole would be a "long term situation"? =3
Observations since records were kept (in my country 1644) show a rapidly accelerating upward trend since WW1.
Except "global warming" is not the correct term for our climate change, as it gives the impression that local seasons will be hotter. In reality, the rising temperature of Earth is melting the polar ice caps. The ice, which is fresh water, is affecting the salinity of the oceans, as well as raising the water levels. That is affecting ocean currents, which are one contributing factor to our weather (others being things like sun storms, wind patterns, etc.). So it's not as simple as saying "global warming means hotter summers."

The two last winters have been longer and colder than most other winters that I remember. Fimbul-winter perhaps?
