No, banning condoms and prohibiting abortion is no match for the stupidity of horny teenagers. Our best effort is contraceptives, and if it comes to it, abortion.
Well, as history teaches us, once we look back without blinders on, there was always teen pregnancy. It was just covered up whenever possible and followed by extremely young marriage when it wasn't.
I'd like to think people would overall be rational about sex, but we aren't. Look back at the days before there was any reliable contraceptive, STD protection or abortion... and you'll still see tons of bastards and STDs even among royalty. Look at how many kings, princes and the like have been suspected of having syphilis. Hormonal high schoolers with poor impulse control don't really have much of a chance.
There is actually a correlation between the crime rate and the abortion rate. I won't bore you with details, I'll just say that the reasons why woman choose abortion are the same reasons that "produce" young criminals. (inabillity to take a proper care for the child {young single parent that's living and working in a bad part of the city}, lack of love for the child etc.). I can give you a name of the book, if you like...
No one sees abortion as "something to lean on." And if they do, they need counseling.
Abortions cost money. And your body needs to heal afterwards. It isn't like taking a pill.

Teens do not think ahead. Their brains have not fully developed yet. More specifically their frontal lobe has not fully developed yet. You know, the part of the brain required for higher level thinking. The prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain used for future planning, has also not reached its potential. So, teens really should not be expected to be making adult decisions.

No, with abortions gone there would be more teenage mothers and women dying due to back alley abortions. People aren't going to stop having sex if abortion is outlawed. It didn't stop them before it was legal, so what makes you think that will change now?
Oh please, if you want someone to blame, blame yourselves yourselves. On a general level, you people fight against sex education being taught, teach that condoms are bad, and try to bury your heads in the sand with Just Say No crap that doesn't work. On an individual level, parents who think like you don't make themselves approachable to their children to not only talk with them but provide them with birth control if, after honest dialogue, you realize that they are determined to have sex in the near future.

Adults, on the other hand, are automatically responsible human beings who make safe sexual decisions based in their minds and not in their genitals. Because we all know that when you reach the magical age of 18 your hormones stop existing.
Somehow, I think you're wrong. There would be the same amount or even more due to the way human nature works. Unfortunately, we wouldn't figure that out until, well, the 5th time or, never figure that out. Besides, condoms do not work the way they're suppose to, sometimes. Even if you use a condom you can still get pregnant, and even if you're on the pill you can still manage to get pregnant. Funny how that works, eh?

All the Obama supporters are asking for a more stable economy, to keep the current abortion laws, that more people have access to affordable health care, less discrimination, perhaps even gay marriage in the future. They would probably be happy to get what they asked for, stupid.
