[An article in The Guardian accused the "manosphere" of being part of the right-wing establishment]
But that said, the disconnect with reality Ms. Moore’s article displays is truly bizarre. She must be living in an alternate reality, and her misplaced hysteria is odd to say the least. Perhaps she’s going through some hormonal changes, such as menopause. Or maybe she’s reflexively reverting to the old, traditional feminism of her long-lost youth.

Wait... W. F. Price is accusing someone else of having a disconnect from reality?
And the rest of it just sounds like some troglodyte telling his wife, "You must be on your period because you're so bitchy."
While the "manosphere" has a right wing, totalitarian, downright fascist bent to it being part of the actual establishment requires just enough coherence to coordinate with or be directed by others on matters of any actual relevence.
They're too delusional and self absorbed even for the GOP to bother with.
That would make sense, Anon, if the "manosphere" wasn't so definitively right-wing. The only thing that potentially sets them apart is that they don't (generally) hammer on endlessly about religion. But they hate women and feminism, usually gays, and frequently non-whites, and long for a return to the days when white men had all the power instead of just most of it.
They also spend a lot of time complaining about liberals and "the pussification of America" so I'd be curious to know what argument Price could come up with in regards to that if I weren't already sure that the best he could possibly do is BbLArGH MENOPAUSE HYSTERIA WIMMENS R STOOPID AMIRITE FELLAS

Says the person with a far larger disconnect
I get the hate of "The Spearhead" - pretty fucked up logic and guys there.
Yet I am sad that "MRA" or "Manosphere" (god, what a stupid term) is still collectively associated with right wing, undersexed, misogynist loser.
I think I may be repeating myself but that is like saying that every feminist is man-hating, fat and obnoxious and probably a lesbian. I'm sure there really ARE people that fit this stereotype but it's stupid to generalize people like that.
Anyway, this quote in and of itself isn't FSTDT-material IMO.
@Canaduck:
Right-wing is a political ideology that is intimately tied up with the idea of preserving the wealth of the rich, and preventing the poor from gaining access to it except through methods that will "turn" the poor into members of their new "rich" fraternity.
This isn't the only aspect of the right-wing, but it is the central one, and I see no connection between it and those MRA people whatsoever.
The thing with The Guardian is that they're wrong about almost everything, are read by the self-flaggelating middle-class to pretend that they're still in tune with the rubbish they believed in university and totally haven't sold out, and they basically accuse anything that isn't them of being Hitler.
The manosphere is part of the "establishment". It's a collection of reactionary conservatives and libertarians all working towards the goal of preserving a male (preferably the white straight man) dominated society where any woman who tries to speak up is called "hysterical feminist disconnected from reality", much like this post.
Confused?
