Nowhere do you address the fact that the study clearly shows that atheists have more anger toward a God they do not believe in than theists do toward a God they DO believe in. Lots of talk, but no rebuttal.

Secondly, you find it "shocking" that (Winteryknight, author of the article) and I too would not expect happiness to be the objective to life on Christian theism. But, this is PRECISELY what Jesus pointed to and experienced, what the disciples and apostles pointed to and experienced, what the Church pointed to and experienced: happiness is not the purpose of the present life. The purpose of life is to know, love, and serve our Creator. In fact, if happiness WERE the goal of the present life, then Jesus, the disciples, Paul, the early Church, etc all failed miserably! (The happiness comes in the next life, BTW, or sadness for the unbeliever. That is why I present my secular ontological argument for the existence of Hell. No surprises should be in store for the atheist.) God desires His creatures to freely come into a loving relationship with Him, but if they decide not to, He will not force them into Heaven against their will.

Now, on atheism, happiness IS the only meaning to life. Atheists want the God they claim to not believe in to be their Cosmic Butler, to be cared for like His pets. This is why atheists tend to descend into a form of narcissism, why they contribute far less time, treasure, and talent to charitable causes, and why they don't mind destroying human beings in the womb (a belief held by 97% of atheists - which should be added to the atheist core doctrine), provided it makes them happy by not costing them money or interfering in their lives.

This disconnect between atheist expectations and reality is precisely the reason for the study results: atheists are ticked off because God does not give them what they want - He will not wait on them like they want Him to.
