"How and why did a head case for the brain develop that obviously plays such a pivotal protective role, as a sort of helmet for the brain?
How did/could it develop accidentally and turn out shaped so perfectly around the brain(when something less perfect would have worked just fine I suppose) and not some odder shape since according to the myth of evolution it could not have been designed specifically for the brain?"

And when we have redundant organs - lungs, kidneys, testicles; when one fails, we can carry on regardless, why aren't we humans like The Doctor - a Gallifreyan - born with two hearts; surely the most important organ in the body? Or like Dr. Hfuhruhurr, or Zaphod Beeblebrox, have two brains?
Klingons have many redundant organs (as a warrior race, they have to!). As per Lt. Worf in that particular episode of "ST:TNG", why don't we have two spinal columns?
If the brain hadn't evolved the way it had, then humans with injuries far worse than the pigeon above wouldn't have survived. With the way the neurological structure of the brain is arranged, with hyper-complex interconnections between neurons/cells; cerebrum/cerebellum etc, certain parts can be damaged, yet the person's individuality, personality, memories etc can be untouched, even after surgery to remove the damaging object embedded in the brain.
but then, if the brain - and the way it's evolved - is that important to the likes of you, why do you fundies bang on & on about 'Letting Jesus into your 'heart'? Which has absolutely no neurological influence on the body whatsoever. The heart - whilst being so vital an organ - is just a blood-pump. Nothing more. Because that's what it's evolved to become, in terms of function.
...but then, 'Let Jesus into your brain' wouldn't sound so theologically credible, certainly re. the preachers' own flim-flam & verbal snake-oil tactics, would it, Andre? And why, pray, are there only two references to the brain in the Bible:
http://bible.cc/search.php?q=brain
...compared to, say, 'Heart'?:
http://bible.cc/search.php?q=Heart
Why, it's as if - like the ancient Egyptians - the brain was completely irrelevant to them? (PROTIP: in ancient Japan, they considered the stomach to be the source of all feeling & emotion, hence the process of cutting open the belly in Seppuku)
Now we Atheists know why you fundies consider thinking to be so dangerous. As in thinking for ourselves. So why should you give a fuck about the brain, or how it's housed? When you & your non-thinking fundie ilk are more concerned about the whys of things.
Otherwise, you wouldn't give a fuck about what the Bible says. Ah, but then, that's the reason why you do: It does the thinking for you.
Moral: If it wasn't for the Atheist scientists, using their evolved brains to figure out the hows of things, you wouldn't have that computer of yours, Andre. Just consider that, next time you visit your physician. The hows of things, rather than the whys, is even more important in medical science.
