"There are multiple reasons people are atheists. One, which I speculate is your reason and which you will undoubtedly deny, is because you suffered some sort of Childhood abuse or have been deeply hurt by someone close to you."
I would deny it because your assumption is incorrect. Being unable to believe in a god has nothing to do with emotional experiences, and has everything to do with the lack of evidence.
"The reason I make that assumption is because you lash out at the idea of being subject to anyone or anything."
I object to people like you trying to dictate arbitrary rules for the whole of society, based on your unfounded beliefs.
"The same reason you choose to deny there is a God is the same reason you don’t understand the principles of biblical marriage."
I don't choose to deny anything. I can't choose to believe in anything for which there is no evidence. I can't choose to believe in any god, any more than I could choose to believe there's an invisible elephant living under my bed. I find the very idea to be absurd, so how could I possibly believe it?
As for the biblical form of marriage, I understand it perfectly, and I find it to be immoral. Do you? If you don't treat your wife like she's your property, then you either don't understand biblical marriage, or you refuse to follow the rules that are set out in the Bible. Personally, I prefer a good secular marriage, based on real love and respect, with both partners being equal.
