Christianity is not just a religion...well rather, it's NOT a religion. It is a relationship with God. I only defend Christianity...especially since nowadays people are trying to modernize Christianity into something they believe is more suitable. (Ie...taking out scriptures, misinterpreting scriptures, that stuff.)
...in short I'm a defender of my faith.

When it comes to tax time, it's a religion.
"...in short I'm a defender of my faith."
In short you're a little weasel who is scared of reality, and you suck up to God because he can protect you from it.
Mmmm... relationship. So he comes over occasionally for a few beers? Oh wait, no, you know his mind and what he truly wants. Well, that's akin to claiming you're a prophet. That's a sin, you blasphemer! You liar! You're going to HELLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!111!1!1!eleven!!!1!
I hate when christers say that it's a relationship not a religion. Each and every one of them is a liar.

Oh, how do you do Mr.Pot! Haven't seen you in AGES! There's someone here you absolutely MUST meet! I believe their name is Kettle...
Similary, atheism isn't a religion, it is a divorce from superstition.
(Okay, technically you can be both an atheist and superstitious, but let's not quibble.)
"Similary, atheism isn't a religion, it is a divorce from superstition."
Someone on FSTDT coined the phrase, "Atheism isn't a religion, it's a personal relationship with Reality."
"A religion is a set of beliefs and practices, often centered upon specific supernatural and moral claims about reality, the cosmos, and human nature, and often codified as prayer, ritual, and religious law"

Care to try that again?
So doesn´t it border to prositution if you go around and ask others to start a relationship with god?
Not only this, it seems to be immoral as well, as with this offer (of starting a relationship with god) you invite other people to a polygamous relationship.
And if I remember correctly polygamy is not only forbidden according to the new testament but illegal in many states of the USA as well
... it's NOT a religion. It is a relationship with God.
A relationship with God is a religion, unless you're inventing your own language.
Wait, if it's not a religion, but instead is a relationship with God, then how come misinterpreting scripture is such a big deal?
[Christianity is not just a religion...well rather, it's NOT a religion. It is a relationship with God.]
You know, I know somebody who's in a relationship. His partner continuously threatens him with neverending torture if he doesn't do exactly what he's told to do.
Would you consider this to be a healthy relationship?
[I only defend Christianity...]
Why would your relationship with the almighty need to be defended? Is there a problem with it?
[...especially since nowadays people are trying to modernize Christianity into something they believe is more suitable. (Ie...taking out scriptures, misinterpreting scriptures, that stuff.)]
In other words, not all Christians think as you do.
[...in short I'm a defender of my faith. ]
You just said that Christianity wasn't a religion?
right, they're doing to it what has been done to it since its inception. A religion that constantly needs to be revised to adequately enforce even teh most basic human rights? Wow, it's gotta be perfect.
@ Eden,
Surprisingly, Polygamy was the type of marriage Jesus spoke in favour of; monogamy was the practice of the Pagan Romans.
@ Xiao-Feng-Fury
It's easy to recognise the people who are misinterpreting Scripture, they're the ones who disagree with me.

Only if there's a safeword. ;)
