The Founders made a big mistake when they did NOT define key terms in the US Constitution. RELIGION is one of those key terms. Today, Democrat and progressive Judges act as if Christianity is the only RELIGION in need of monitoring in the American culture; these Judges have NO problem with Islam and Secular Humanism and Atheism in our Government schools.

No religion at all should be promoted in our public schools. Christianity, Islam, Judaism, none. They are a secular environment, and let's keep it that way.
Secular Humanism and Atheism are not religions and are not pushed in our public schools.
As for Islam - citation seriously fucking needed.
What religion makes up the (self-professed, not actually practicing) religion in the US, by orders of magnitude? You got it, xtianity.
Who is always trying to force their views into our schools and our politics, our laws? Right again - xtianity.
Is it any wonder you would be watched closer for potential abuse?
Aren't you the ones who keep saying that the First Amendment only applied to Christianity and that no other religions were protected by it?
You people gotta make up your mind about how you want this to go.
You made a big mistake when you redefined key terms in the US constitution in order to make it seem to say what the founding fathers did not intend to say.
Today, Republic and retarded judges act as if their own extremist cult is the Real Christianity and must be enforced by the state; these judges have NO problem trowing the other religions under the bus.
@Vera:
Christianity is the only religion that has ever been pushed on me at school.
Christianity is the only religion that has ever been pushed on me anywhere, ever.
"Ooh, I know! I know! We will just call everything we don't like an "-ism", then we can call it a religion, an' then ........uh.......Whaddya mean, give tax relief to atheism? Give kids atheist holidays off school? Darwin day sales in the stores? ..... Never mind."
Let's see what the First Amendment says...
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or
of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition
the Government for a redress of grievances.
I don't know about Joe, but I'm thinking it pretty much lays out the terms for religion.
The Founders were INTENDING to keep RELIGION out of the US Constitution, silly boy.
Perhaps the government feels that Christianity needs more monitoring than the others because it's so much huger than the others; some 78 percent of the US population is Christian in one way or the other.
I love how the wingnuts are trying to turn "Progressive" into a pejorative like they did with "Liberal".
Sorry, wingnuts; It's not going to work, this time.
@ Doubting Thomas-then you can hightail it on over to DC. Just imagine-taking in the sights, strolling alongside the reflecting pool, & getting pestered by about a million petitioners & the most unusual of annoying people-Hare Krishnas. Seriously-they make it fun.
Funny how the founders only make mistakes when they disagree with your asinine positions.
No religion in the public sphere, get it? It is easy. Practice your dopey mythology all you want in your private home, church, synagogue or masque just keep your stupidity out of my face.
But the SCOTUS has defined that term and "Secular Humanism and Atheism" are considered "religions" only in as much as they're protected by the 1st Amendment.
I might point out by the way that neither Secular Humanism nor Atheism is promoted in public schools. Being absolutely neutral and saying nothing is not the same thing as promoting atheism.
And I suppose according to you the mistake they made was not defining it in terms of YOUR religion?
What if the mistake they made was not defining it in terms of one of the thousands of other christian religions? Or what about the thousands of other religions?
Oh, of course, according to you, they wouldn't make that mistake for any of those other "false" religions... Yours is the "one true religion"...
And I'm sure none of those other religions claim theirs is the "one true religion", right?
Probably because:
A) None of those are currently making a widespread attempt to force our schools to teach inaccurate information.
B) The latter two aren't even religions. To call them such is like calling true anarchy a form of government.
Schools aren't allowed to teach religion including Islam
Secular humanism is secular and thus not religion
Atheism is a lack of religion and cannot be taught
In short, you're dumb
Confused?
