Silly homo liberal!!! 1. The Supreme court "CANNOT" make law and over rule amendments of the Constitution such as the 10th. 2. All a supreme court can do is make a decision as whether it is constitutional or not constitutional and again they cannot over rule the amendments.

The states already had a marriage clause in their Constitutions according to the 10th amendment.

It is called Judicial Tyranny, silly homo liberal!!!

Listen closely, you numpty:

There's a part of your precious Tenth Amendment that you're conveniently either forgetting or ignoring. Here, I'll help you with that:

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
--- United States Constitution, Amendment 10 (emphasis mine)

The power for any U.S. state to ban same-sex marriage is a power prohibited by the U.S. Constitution to the states, according to the 9th and 14th Amendments. Q, to the E, to the muh-fuh'n Dizzle.

Now, take this stack of paper and this pen, and write the following five hundred times:

"LIBERAL" DOES NOT MEAN "ANYONE HAVING OPINIONS I DON'T LIKE", NOR DOES IT MEAN "ANYONE POLITICALLY TO THE LEFT OF RICK SANTORUM OR PAT ROBERTSON."

Then, when you're done with that, keep the pen ready, take this stack of paper, and write the following five hundred times:

STRIKING DOWN EXISTING LAWS BECAUSE THEY VIOLATE THE U.S. CONSTITUTION IS NOT THE SAME AS MAKING NEW LAWS.

1) Show me in the Constitution where it says the Supreme Court cannot rule over the Amendments.
2) Show me in the Constitution where it says that the Amendments are treated differently to the main body of the Constitution.
3) Go and look at Article 3, Section 2, Clause 1 of the Constitution and read that courts may only rule on actual cases and controversies, i.e. they are forbidden to make rulings that have no legal effect.
4) The Supreme Court ruled on the interpretation of the Constitution as it stands. It made no new laws.
5) If you disagree, you are always able to take your case to the courts. By the way, which law school did you go to?
