Rape should not be a standalone crime at all. Rape is considered a crime purely because it affects a woman's honor. If rape involves restraint or coercion, or threats, or violence, those are separate crimes and should be treated as such. But the mere act of inserting a penis in a vagina: Why is that potentially such a heinous crime?

It isn't sex itself that is criminalized, you complete fucking dolt. It's the forced nature of it, that fact that it is done without consent. This isn't about 'buyer's remorse'. This is about the actual violation of another person's body for one's own selfish goals.

Men can be raped too you know? Rape victims shouldn't be viewed as fragile or weak; rape is a gross violation of someone's consent and personal boundaries that can have extremely serious repercussions, especially mentally. Realising this is not an example of sexism.

Except where regretting sex you consented to and were capable of consenting to at the time is not considered rape under any legal statute.

The civilized world reached the conclusion some time ago that a woman's body belongs to the woman, who therefore has the absolute right to decide who can insert his penis into her vagina, and when.
