This is part of the homosexual agenda.
In every nation that a accepts gay marriage, the next to fall is age of consent.
In Europe, you will see age of consent at 13 to 15. This as pushed by the homosexual liberals.
The same is happening here. Look at the AG race in Virginia for proof.

You wish.
Oh yes. Because Christianity is nothing if not firmly opposed to a lower age of consent. That's why it spent about 18 of the last 20 centuries supporting and defending social systems that encouraged marrying children off at 12. But now that you're afraid homosexuals might want in on the action (because how could anyone not enjoy prepubescent genitalia?) it's suddenly sick and wrong and unchristian.
Also: "It's a-comin', just you watch" is not evidence any more than "sooner or later" is a time.
...I don't know why fundies simply cannot grasp this simple concept. Gay =/= pedophilia. Homosexuality = consentual (unless rape is involved, of course). Pedophilia = non-consentual.
It's as simple as that. Supporting LGBT does not mean your're supporting child rape.

Wait, did you just back up your claim with speculation? You can do that? In that case:
In every nation that accepts Christianity, there will be genocide. In America, all non-Christians will be sent off to camps and killed. Therefore we should outlaw Christianity.

Actually I've known several who actually see it as fact. They've been indoctrinated not to believe science, and to take the Bible, which they believe is full of condemnation of gays just because their pastors told them it is, literally. They are not critical thinkers.
Funny, evidence that we have going back to the early Middle Ages shows that the average age of marriage among commoners was in the mid to late twenties. What made the age of consent start to fall was women and girls being more and more commonly used as a commodity, and in later centuries, to help men evade molestation charges. Neither of those represent liberal ideals.
If they're really trying to get a very low age of consent in Virginia, I'd be willing to bet it has something to do with fundies, whose kids have high teen pregnancy rates, trying to sweep their dirty laundry under the rug.
The age of consent in much of the US is lower, too. In over half the states, it's 16, with even lower ages as long as the age difference isn't more than a few years. Here in NJ, I believe it's 13 and 3 years. In Tennessee, it's 14 and 4 years.
To my knowledge, most of Europe had age of consent around 15-16 BEFORE gay marriage was introduced. There is no active movement to lower it, as far as I'm aware. If anything, it might be going the other way.
Taking the souls of little girls? So, you're only worried about lesbians wanting young girls, then?
How old was Virgin Mary when the Holy Spirit raped her on God's order?

The following is an interpretation of the age of sexual consent in Canada.
On May 1, 2008 the Tackling Violent Crime Act raised the legal age of sexual consent in Canada; it is the first time it has been raised since 1890.
When sexual activity involves exploitation such as prostitution, pornography or where there is a relationship of trust, authority or dependency the age of consent is 18 years.
For other sexual activity ranging from sexual touching (such as kissing) to sexual intercourse, the age of consent was raised form 14 to 16.
There are “close-in-age exceptions” for example youth who are:
16-18 years old- are able to consent EXCEPT when partner is in position of authority
14-15 years old are able to consent IF close in age partner is < 5 years (and partner not in position of authority or exploitative relationship) OR married/ preexisting common-law relationship
12-13 years old- able to consent IF close in age partner is < 2 years (and partner is not in position of authority or exploitative relationship
Children <12- unable to consent under any circumstance
In the United Kingdom is 16 and the 15 and 13 was long before gay marriage was approved. By your logic, Muslim countries must be very gay friendly because there is no age of consent..............wait, what?
Bullshit. While I don't doubt that Muslims wish to lower the age of consent, that demographic also tends to agree with you on the issue of gay marriage. With all due respect, moonshiner_09, you don't know what you are talking about.
Isn't higher national religiousity associated with lower ages of consent?
Like, 12 isn't a-okay in Saudi Arabia(if you've been married off that young), but homosexuality calls for a stoning?
This reminds me of a certain upstanding fellow who once suggested to me that pedophilia is widespread among the homosexual population, and provided an article about a gay rights group pushing for lowering the age of consent to same-sex sexual activity in the UK to 14 as "proof".
Of course, he left out the bit where they were doing this because age of consent for heterosexual sex was already 14 at the time. Even his own frickin' article made that clear.
Except of course that the overwhelming majority of people are opposed to lowering the age of consent. As a matter of fact I don't know of anyone that's in favor of it or pushing for it.
The issue is that age of consent for homosexuals is often higher than age of consent for heterosexuals so one objective of the Gay Movement is to make the age of consent the same for both which often means lowering it for homosexuals but only to the same level as heterosexuals.
The only people in recent memory I've seen pushing to lower the age of consent are horrifyingly misogynistic egotists that think they're entitled to lay claim to a pre-pubescent girl because man stuff.
NAMBLA became irrelevant long before they were even relevant to begin with. That's right, they're so disrespected and insignificant as to create a temporal paradox.
