Some notes about circumstances of Scalia's death

TPTB screwed this up from the beginning.

Regardless if there was foul play or not, they know full well that the American people will not accept government officials telling them that they know all they need to know and just shut up. Those days are over, and the new paradigm is either release what you know now, or forever be suspect. Just like Bin Laden's botched and obviously faked killing by Navy SEALs in Abottabad (in which no photographs were ever released),

the Scalia death has all the worse aspects of government conspiracy and non-transparency: a rush to judgement by the government and a complete ruling out of all further investigation.
•The county in which he died, Presidio County, is one of the most isolated and inaccessible parts of the country. It only has 7000 permanent inhabitants.
•Like most border counties, it overwhelmingly votes in Democrats, while the non-border counties in Texas overwhelmingly votes in Republicans.
•Because the local politics resemble a political "machine" which is often the case with most U.S. counties, elected officials like Justices of the Peace and Sheriffs are usually at the whim and mercy of the County Judge and County Comissioners, who in turn are usually part of the political machine of their respective counties.
•In that case, JOPs will cave in to every whim and desire of the County Judge, a simple phone call is all it takes to make sure that no autopsy is ever done, especially if law enforcement has already been instructed to recommend that it is not necessary.
•Family members can be dissuaded from official autopsies by a phone call from the County Judge explaining that it might cause embarassment, such as a compromising position of the body or illegal drugs in the blood stream.

Just some random musings, but there are a reason autopsies are done,

and the death of a justice on the Supreme Court at this critical time means every American has a right to be involved in this story and to ask questions.
