I’m a pretty much live and let live sort of guy.
I will observe here that we are talking about some people who are so screwed up they aren’t comfortable identifying with their born sex.
Despite this, they want to dictate what the populace stance on sexual matters and public bathrooms will be.
Never mind the normal populace. The 0.00225% of the populace wants to drive the car, and refuses to let the 99.99775% of the populace do it.
Not buying in.

What harm are trans people doing you?
Answer that one question, and I might (possibly) listen to the rest of your rant. They're not committing hate crimes against cisgender people; they're not forcing us to get gender reassignment surgery; they're just going about, eating, drinking, talking, working, existing. That's it.
What harm are they doing you?
And I'm not buying that you really are a "live and let live" kind of person.
You point out transsexuals are a small minority but you're bitching about what washrooms they use.
Many places have a "family" or "disabled" washroom in another, singular area than the common stalls.
Even dumber is that this guy thinks it's a disturbing trend despite that washroom stalls are already separate and that he has very likely used the washroom at the same time as a transman on several occasions.
People - all sorts of people, not just the ones you approve of - need public bathrooms to be available for them, just as you occasionally do. You have no valid reason for not allowing that. I suggest you live and let live.

Based on what you've written here, I'm calling BS.
Despite this, they want to dictate what the populace stance on sexual matters and public bathrooms will be.
More BS. Nobody is telling YOU which bathroom to use, and nobody is telling you who to fuck. What do you care?
Not buying in.
Your approval is not required. Just as nobody is dictating where you put your genitalia, you don't get to decide for anybody else.
"Live and let live", remember?
Well, for one thing, a minority group's rights are not supposed to be overridden by the majority. The tyranny of the majority is a phrase for a reason. Just because trans people are a small group doesn't mean they don't deserve to be treated with respect and allowed to act in a way that makes them comfortable and happy.
And for another thing, you are underestimating the portion of the population that's transgender. The last estimate I saw put it at 0.6 percent of American adults, last summer. That's not taking into account trans children or those who may be too afraid to come forward.
Funny you use a car analogy, given certain Russian laws. But even without that comparison it's stupid as the 99.99775 percent of people who get to shit where they're comfortable are stopping the .00225 percent from doing the same, not the other way around.
I observe that we are seeing a guy who is so screwed up, he can't even let other people live their lives their way.
They DO want to identify with their born gender, nincompoop. The gender that is in their head, that is.
YOU want to dictate the populace stance, not them. They just want to live and let live.
It's more than that, no-one knows exactly how many. It's tens of thousands of people in the US, at least.
Not buying that they have any impact whatsoever on your life.
So how large a percentage does a minority have to be before they're treated with respect? Nobody's demanding that you change your stance on anything. I often find myself dealing with someone I consider a fool, an idiot, or whose personal behavior I find offensive, but I still manage to treat them with respect.

Nonsense. If you were, you wouldn't give a rat's butt.
Confused?
