Sources?, do you think that NO FORCING one religion in the school in detriment of others, not making it compulsory, makes it automatically banned?
He must go to a different school...scratch that...different universe than I did. Wasn't so long ago that I went to public school, and my friends and I prayed quite openly in the library every day, and had an officially recognized Bible club once a week.
As I like to say, Christians absolutely experience more restraints on their religious expression than most, but it is for the same reason that the horse who deliberately runs into the electric fence every day gets zapped more often than the one who knows where the fence is and doesn't try to cross it.
So on august 23rd when my classes start back up, first thing I'm gonna do when I walk into my various classes is say: "Jesus Christ, I wish I wasnt here."
Will I be kicked out and sued, do you think?
Citation needed, very much.
That's a strange country you live in. Don't you have freedom of speech?
In secular Sweden you can say the name of Jesus out loud if you want, as long as you don't interrupt the lessons.
Dude, in my school we one day had a 90 minute civics class devoted almost entirely to discussing religion, Jesus certainly included. And that's not getting into my sociology / psychology teacher who doubled as a minister and as such related a lot of concepts by tying them into biblical stories.
Actually a pretty good guy, the latter, but mostly because despite his position he knew there were things like restraint and differing values.

“ umm where have you been?”
Here. The whole time.
“yes it is all banned.”
That’s why so many schools have bible study clubs after school, huh?
Students that take their bibles to school and study it during lunch?
Weird.

You can’t lead a class in prayer, but individuals can pray however they want to.
You’re taking umbrage as a gross misunderstanding of reality.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
