"Donald Trump is telling the truth and people don't always like that," said Donald Kidd, a 73-year-old retired pipe welder from Mobile. "He is like George Wallace, he told the truth. It is the same thing."

"Donald Trump is telling the truth and people don't always like that," said Donald Kidd, a 73-year-old retired pipe welder from Mobile. "He is like George Wallace, he told the truth. It is the same thing." The thing is, in this statement, Kidd defines 'telling the truth' as 'expressing support for my beliefs'!
"Donald Trump is telling the truth and people don't always like that,"
Let's see if you like this:

He re tweeted this, claiming this person was a supporter . The man in the pic he re tweeted is of Jeremy Corbyn: the new left -wing leader of the Labour Party here in the UK.
Therefore Donald Fart LIED.
Someone like Syrup-for-Brains claiming a left -winger is a supporter? Not the same thing.
And this is why you don't interview the people leaving the bar at 3AM. They're confused, disoriented, still have the whiskey face...
Trump's hairpiece is a lie, man! One of my roommates is convinced it's his real hair just because no hairpiece is that crappy.
Actually, that's a good metaphor for his campaign: stupid statements so pathetic they look true by way of "who could possibly be dumb enough to come up with that?"
@Octopus: historical figure from U.S. politics of the civil rights era; as governor of one of those at the time segregated and racist deep south states, he fought viciously against equal rights for black people. comparing Trump to Wallace is an insult to both --- to Trump for calling him a vicious racist, and to Wallace for calling him as laughable and ineffective as Trump is.
Wallace's life's work was despicable, and in the end it failed, but while he lasted he had an actual impression on society. Trump's a clown, in comparison.
@Mimic Octopus
"Who's George Wallace?"
He was the Governor of Alabama.
"Wallace took the oath of office on January 14, 1963, standing on the gold star marking the spot where, nearly 102 years earlier, Jefferson Davis was sworn in as provisional president of the Confederate States of America. In his inaugural speech, Wallace said:
'In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.'"
Several months later, he became known for blocking black students from enrolling in the University of Alabama. As in, he literally stood in the doorway to stop them from entering, until the military was called in.
He tells whatever "truth" that he thinks will resonate with the voters, in this place, in this time. "Situational truth" is his stock in trade. I doubt that he himself has any idea what he REALLY thinks, because what he thinks is not "is this true?", but "how will this play with the audience?".
Donald Trump is telling the truth and people don't always like that
He's whining, and his fellow whiners love that.
Kidd, Wallace said "segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever" and I don't see it in Alabama.
@Nomen Nescio
I would add that Wallace recanted his racist rhetorics whild I don't trust Trump to do the same.
As you know, I like a good 'What If' scenario.
Here's one.
The fact that this is from the oh so right -wing newspaper "The Daily FAIL" isn't the half of it. Nor the fact that it portrays Donald Fart as an utter buffoon. No.
This particular fictional article - set in 2020 - clearly based on that actual retweet in 2015, is written by Richard Littlebrain . Even he makes Donald Fart look a complete imbecile who can't tell the difference between Jeremy Corbyn & Jeremy Clarkson , even though "Top Gear" is the second most torrented British TV series next to "Doctor Who"; most of those who download such are those in the US.
When someone like Littlebrain , who is to the right of Hitler, who writes for a paper whose past proprietor was a supporter of ol' 'One Knacker' Adolf, Mussolini & Mosley, is himself so disparaging of the Teabaggers/Neo-Cuntservatives/Redneck Retards' last best hope, then it's over for ol' Syrup-for-Brains before it started .
For when even he couldn't make it up, therefore...!
Confused?
