(responding to people getting malware warnings when trying to enter some Christian site}
That's because we are at war! Its spiritual and I use Google Chrome and I didn't have that problem reporting this, only because God allowed it to be exposed. But believe me, I get attacked on my computer and my daily life as well, and I have to continue to pray at all times and remain faithful until we are called home. And no its not Malware its just the enemy trying to stop you from knowing whats transpiring in the spiritual realm, with the rebellion thats taking place right now! Stay encouraged and see you soon!!!

Just in case any of you from RR read this, Microsoft security essentials is a handy tool to prevent any such infections, free, low overhead and more effective than most AV solutions I've tried.
Odds are someone found a hole in the site's scripting or advertisment hosting and was exploting it like they'd do anywhere else. Actually one major reason there's no ads here.
So let me get this straight. Someone got a security warning using one browser (possibly IE, but that's far from a given) so they shared this concern with others on the board. Someone else, using Chrome, didn't get it.
Chrome may not be the end-all and be-all, but it has its own way of handling security concerns. But malware exploits security issues, pure and simple. You're not at war, there's no god or devil playing tricks in you through your computer. And don't scoff at the issue. Get someone to look at it and stem it off before it causes real problems.
Got that right Distand. I've been on FSTDTs for years and if I have trouble getting on FSTDT it's my computer that's fn up or just recently an automatic upload that corrupted the internet Explorer settings.
How do the Rapturites explain the reliability of FSTDTs, being evil and all the interweb Hurricanes and Tornadoes should have rendered us lot forever meek or some such shit.
no its not Malware its just the enemy
Wow, that's up there in my top ten "stupid things I've heard".
How do people like this function in daily life?
If Satan really wants to disrupt use of Christian websites, why doesn't he just hit DEL on the server or reroute the URL to something Satanic, like a YouTube video of Katy Perry on Sesame Street?
What's funny is that a report came out recently showing that one of the most common types of websites to be hijacked and used to distribute malware are fundie sites. They are notorious for being clueless about security and often use simplistic easy to guess/brute-force admin passwords. (i.e. - When attempting a brute force stick to a dictionary of religious or subject relevant terms) Those that visit such sites often have the same mindset and are easily infected.
Conversely, most porn sites and their visitors have the opposite approach and are less likely to be run by folks who are looking to compromise their visitors. The money is too good to be ruining your reputation in a highly competitive market. Go figure.
Malware warnings when trying to enter a site? Must be Satan.
I tried to ring a friend, but he wasn't there. He must have been abducted by aliens.
I was sitting in a coffee shop and spotted some guy glancing in my general direction. He must have been a Russian spy.
Saw a bird. Not sure what species it was. Must have been a pteranodon.
LOL! It's not really malware, it's just Satan tricking you! OK, go ahead and click on that link and show Satan who's a good Christian.
Wait... you're using Google Chrome? From Google? The same evil Satanic atheistic Google who put up a picture of Hugo Chavez on Easter instead of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?
Yes. Please, please, everyone on Rapture Reasy, go to that site. Your computers will get viruses and die, and you will be OFF. OUR. INTERNET.
Now that's a miracle from God.
RR is the most motley collection of intellectually impoverished hillbillies that I have ever encountered.
Broken a fingernail? That's a demon. There are demons everywhere is rapturetardworld, which is surprising since they all insist that this world belongs to G*d.
Persecution complex, paranoid delusions resulting in the promotion of conspiracy theories. Ignorance of technology and security practices.
Indoctrination in ultrafundamentalist superstitions and conspiracy theories, not very distinguishable from some psychiatric conditions. i.e. "The world is Satan's", "some invisible beings are obsessed about tormenting me". Psychological projection: "since I'm against the world and am part of a cabal conspiring against it, accusing it of grandiose conspirations, the world must also be a cabal at war against me".
I know, I was raised in that unhealthy bullshit.
Culture bound syndrome. :)
Updating and re-affirming Distind’s advice:
If you’re running a current version of Windows, you can use Windows Defender. If your computer has MacAfee or another anti-virus installed, just uninstall it. They usually do more harm than good.
If you’re running a website, the best way to make sure you don’t accidentally host malware is to not run third-party ads (such as Doubleclick). They are frequent vectors for fraud and malware, which is the main reason why this site doesn’t advertise.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
