[Science is constantly striving to correct itself. What's wrong with that?]
There would be no possible room to "correct" itself unless its original claims were untrue bull crap in the first place. The new "corrected" claims are untrue bull crap too, which is why they in turn become "corrected" later on as well, with additional untrue bull crap. It's a never-ending cycle of untrue bull crap, all of which is falsely presented as "fact."

Unlike the Bible, which was ALWAYS untrue bullcrap, and has never managed to come even CLOSE to being true.
Science, at least, manages to create EVERYTHING YOU USE TODAY TO DEBATE AGAINST SCIENCE. That computer? Alan Turing and science. That keyboard? Science! Internet? Science. GPS? Science. Landing on the moon? SCIENCE, BITCHES. Understanding the effects of force upon a frictionless orbit? THAT'S ALSO SCIENCE. Science. You can't escape it. Even if you want to.
Yeah, religion is so much better with all its bull crap which never or rarely ever changes.
That's the beauty of science. Scientists are allowed to change their minds when they realize they were wrong. Religion, not so much.
"There would be no possible room to "correct" itself unless its original claims were untrue bull crap in the first place."
Christians have lots of room to "correct" their "bible" but they never do. As a result a giant man with a long white beard who lives on clouds poofed everything into existence 6000 years ago.
Except it's usually science is "more right", rather than "bull crap".
Unlike the Bible, which is unchanging and thus can never be more right, so is always bull crap.
This entire post, as well as all of his others, are bull crap. Actually, Navaros's entire existence is bull crap.
No, the reason it's striving to correc itself is that we didn't know as much yesterday as we do today. With each new discovery, old science needs to be adapted accordingly.
The Bible, on the other hand, was "untrue bull crap" from the beginning, so no need to update that.
This person needs to read Asimov's The Relativity of Wrong. The idea that the Earth is a sphere was less wrong than that it is some other shape; the idea that is an oblate spheroid is less wrong than that it's a sphere; and so on.
Science, in general, gets closer and closer to the truth, but that doesn't mean everything that came previously was worthless garbage.
Not true. At all.
Imagine this. What is the value of p?
Someone could say 3. It's a rounded off figure, but close enough, no? Then someone corrects it to 3.1. Then someone further goes to 3.14159 and so on... That is what happens in science. New data, new methods, better results. The underlying theories are only thrown out and changed when it contradicts newly emerged facts. And that also highlights why science has made our civilisation progress so far. Because it has no shame in being corrected and updated. Newer, more precise information will always be better.
There's no point arguing with the likes of Navaros. They'll never accept the correcting aspect of science as anything but a complete reversal when in fact it's mostly additional details. The fact that things change over time is undeniable if one's honest, that mistakes of the process or lineage have occurred and could be wrong is the scientists own admissions and ultimately corrected by that discipline.
But Navaro is a child of fundamentalist dogma, echoing the same wrong claims of his ilk for decades now. The ironic thing about Fundamentalists is that they consider themselves truer Christians because they're "literalists" when they butcher the language at every turn and ignore major portions of their Bible because the contradictions can't be resolved and add political dogma to it that's not there or has actual verses opposing such.
It's really projection, the learned have pointed out the folly of taking the Bible literally and they have responded in the most childish way possible: Going "Nuhuh Yur wrong" and refusing to accept the realities.

Yep. That’s how it works.
So, long time ago, people thought the ‘day’ was 24-hours, or 86,400 seconds. Clocks were made to this standard. Eventually, they gained the expertise to make Atomic Clocks. These were SUPER accurate. WIth those, we found out that on AVERAGE, the days last 86,400.002 seconds.
New science. A new standard was published.
All previous knowledge about the length of a day was bull crap. All clocks were thrown out. Everything was overhauled. This was about 1973, IIRC.
Science cops wandering the streets, confiscating wristwatches, shooting any dashboard clocks, blowing up that big clock sign in front of the bank.
Because you cannot improve on knowledge without that knowledge being complete bullcrap.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
