Atheists: Have you really considered the full implication of your views?
My personal views have no implications to any save myself.
The Atheists on R&S just shrug their shoulders and say " I know of no God, therefore no such God exists."
No, More like "I see no evidence that points to the existance of a god, therefore I see no reason to assume a god exists until more sufficient evidence presents itself."
This blithe indifference and insouciance cannot go unpunished in the arena of intellectual and philosophical discourse.
Unpunished? Do you actually think that your religious belief's are so damned special that all who exhibit indifference towards them should somehow be punished?
The Atheists need to understand that there are consequences to their denial of the divine.
So you claim, I have yet to see any evidence that there is any sort of divine being to deny. I cannot deny that which I have no reason to belive exists in the first place, nor should I expect that there could be any consequences from that.
You are operating from the false assumption that atheists know that your god exist and are just denying that for one selfish reason or another, that assumption is wrong.
They have chosen to refute the harmony of the cosmos and the natural order together with its laws,
No, once again you are making assumptions based on what you say atheists belive, and once again you reveal yourself to be either willfully ignorant, or a liar. As an atheist I have never refuted any such thing, I just don't see that there is some kind of all-powerful divine being causing it. You would do well to realize that atheism is not nihilism.
they have chosen to reject the purposeful creative power manifested in their very selves.
I do not reject any creative power possesed by myself, but I see no reason to think that humanity was a special creation of some "god", and if there was then why didn't he go to greater lengths to let his creation know that he existed?
When you reject the fact that life has its origin in the divine, you present a dark and void alternative...
How so? In fact the non-existence of an afterlife makes this life all that more special and unique, I don't see that as dark and void of meaning, just the opposite in fact.
a material and anarchic universe, blind and meaningless.
There is absolutely no reason to assume that anything or anyone has any "greater" meaning, it's just wishful thinking. If the fact that I can accept that without sinking into a nihilistic depression disturbs your religious senses, well that's just too damn bad. I have no obligation to answer to, or coddle you or your religion.
Is this what you really want?
What I want is irrelevant, what you want is irrelevant. Neither your beliefs or my lack of belief will have any effect on reality.
