[After making the comment that the majority of doctors are Christians, 'On a quick scan I interpret the data to suggest that physicians profess religiousity pretty much like the general population, but say that their professed faith affects their behavior less.']
Even if its right, it shows that your wrong anyway cause most scientists are hardcore heathens. Almost all biologists are athiests, but the useful ones are Christians. Docters want to help people. They don't need to waste time proving that God doesn't exist like you guys do. The helpful sciences are where you find the Christians. If they were better Christians, they would be even better at what they do.

"Even if its right, it shows that your wrong anyway cause most scientists are hardcore heathens."
Source citation, please. Of course, you probably think that "source citation" means a metermaid's ticket book.
"Almost all biologists are athiests, but the useful ones are Christians."
Source citation, please, or is this another statistic pulled from your butt?
"Docters want to help people."
I should hope so.
"They don't need to waste time proving that God doesn't exist like you guys do."
Well, if we ARE proving that God doesn't exist, don't you feel stupid for still believing in God?
"The helpful sciences are where you find the Christians."
Which sciences are the "helpful sciences." You know, there is no modern medicine (that's doctorin', Artie) without biology, yet you seem to feel biology is not "helpful."
And, you're full of shit. Christians and atheists are found in all realms of science.
"If they were better Christians, they would be even better at what they do."
So, a Jew or a Hindu, say, would be a terrible doctor because s/he would not be Christian at all, and you would be an excellent doctor because, even though you are a fucktard, you are a good, little Christian?
What do you define by "useful"?. Besides, according to statistics, the number of agnostic and Christian doctors is more or less equeal. Moreover, my uncle, a doctor is agnostic. Besides, aren´t you contradicting with the last lines?. Following your stupid correlation, some atheist, agnostics or just not militant Christians are helping people with the ACLU and with all sort of social programs while YOU, the holier-than-thou fundies, only preach and do nothing. I mean, what happened with St James epistle and the sort?.
Oh my dear, what went wrong? These twenty five years I've been working in the NHS, all these years spent in medical science, providing investigations and rehabilitation to patients with balance and hearing disorders, years spent caring for my patients when - horror of horrors - I'm an atheist. Oh my word, all these years and I didn't realise I should have been doing some other job, because it's the christians who have the monopoly on Caring.
Almost all biologists are athiests, but the useful ones are Christians.
How, pray tell, do the doctors learn what kinds of treatment will be effective if not through biology?
Actually the numbers for scientists(talking seriously general here) are about the same as the general population.
It's when you get out of things like Computer Science, or Creation Science, where the bottom falls out on them. Of course I've never heard of an athiest Creation Scientist, so I bet they have that one locked nicely.
I assume that Artie thinks that doctors aren't scientists, then? I will inform those of my colleagues with medical degrees that they can give up their research immediately. I will ask that they dispatch their grant money to more "helpful" scientists, if Artie will provide a detailed list of which sciences are the most helpful. However, since he's likely to list healthcare-related fields as being most helpful, he's in for a disappointment when he discovers just how dependent healthcare is on... well, science.
Burden of proof doesn't work that way, Artie. You're the ones who have to prove the existence of gods, and of your god in particular. Atheist scientists focus on their chosen field. Atheist laypeople live our lives as if there are no gods until anyone has proven the existence of one or more.
Which are helpful and wich are not helpful? All sciencie is focused on understanding the Universe, and on making life better for humans and others if possible.
They don't need to waste time proving that God doesn't exist like you guys do.
Nobody has to work at it, it just happens.

Hardcore Heathens is a great name for a rock group.
Or a biker gang --- on MoPeds.
This man hasn't questioned the findings on material brought back by his fellow Apollo astronaut colleagues. One specific piece being the 'Genesis Rock', which was proved to be precisely the same age as Earth: 4.5 billion years old:

Dr. Buzz Aldrin is a Conservative Christian .
Is he a hardcore heathen, seeing as he got his Ph.D at MIT, thus he is a scientist ? Space Science is something he promotes.
He was the second man on the Moon. Wore an Omega Speedmaster there. Has met Optimus Prime: the Trifecta of Awesomeness . Can you do better than this Christian, Fartie Cockup?
@Coffee
If not for two Jews: Oppenheimer & Einstein, Project Manhattan wouldn't have gotten off the drawing board stage.
The Nazis were just a year behind with their Heavy Water (Deuterium)-based atom bomb research...! [/"The Man In The High Castle"]
Actually some trusted polls have shown the vast majority of doctors profess faith in America especially. As mentioned it's mostly a moderate encompassing faith also.
I suspect it's part of their 'professional edicate' and 'bedside manner' training. It's best, especially in America, for the mostly religious patients to think their doctors are praying for them.
It's also a great cop out when nothing will help "it's in Gods hands now" or death "their with God now".
The basic accusation from this ass that Christians care more show him to be one of those types.
Confused?
