6.4 earthquake strikes near Kaikoura
New Zealand is subject to regular devestating earthquakes but since NZ got involved in the Israel peace process a couple of days ago the quakes have started again.
Coincidence ...doubtful.

You suffer from religious mindfuck, and I can prove it.
"Regular."
"Started again."
Do you see a problem with the juxtaposition of those two concepts? Of course you don't!
As you say, "New Zealand is subject to regular devestating (sic) earthquakes". Yes, it's a coincidence, gazza. Magma has no politics.
Well, what the fuck did the Nepalese do to piss off your god just now, you petty, spiteful asshole? I guess just being Hindus is enough to make him jealous...what an asshole.
God, as per, cleverly hides itself behind phenomenon that can be explained by natural means (i.e. movement along a fault plane) to avoid detection. It's almost as if you don't require it to explain the causes of earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, and all other natural disasters.
Wait, it gets worse. God is threatening to derail a peace process, thus endangering more lives in conflict? What a dick.
@ Swede
So it was you guys! God, with His infallible and famous aim, must have tried for Stockholm, and gave New Zealand a tickle.

Also, in other news, it rained here yesterday in So. Calif. Come on now, somebody, 'fess up; who was having teh ghey butt-secks in Russia, and pissed Him off?
Meanwhile none of the other countries involved have experienced any earthquakes. And I'm guessing that NZ played a minor role.
Besides, if there's one thing God hates, it's peace.
Nepal wasn't involved in the Israel peace process - how come they just had an earthquake that killed thousands? God is like the dog that barks when he's happy, barks when he's hungry, barks when he wants to go out, barks at the cat - and leaves us to figure out why the heck he's barking.

This sentence deserves to be framed and put up on a wall.
So, NZ has regular quakes, and continued to have quakes. That's not coincidence, that's inevitability.
NZ isn't going to suddenly not be on a fault line, and the fault line isn't going to geologically settle. The type of fault running through New Zealand (strike slip I believe) means that it will never not be on a fault. Even when some of it eventually subducts (NZ lies across the border of the Australian and Pacific plates) under the Australian plate the rest will still be on a fault. NZ will always have earthquakes, atleast as long as our planet is geologically active (which it will for a very long time).
Confused?
