Although these do point out flawed arguments they make it seem like all arguments against gay marriage are retarded. And they're not. There are a logical arguments, such as the fact that the divorce rate among gay couples is 100%.
[in response to a gay marriage argument]
Number 6 is particularly retarded: our country has a very low population growth, so it wouldn't hurt to have an average of 2 kids per woman. Also the problem with orphanages is partially the parents' fault for not planning children instead of getting teen pregnant and having to give the child away. (There's orphans who have dead parents, and I feel bad for them, but then there's orphans with idiotic 16-year-old parents.)

"There are a logical arguments, such as the fact that the divorce rate among gay couples is 100%."
Where did you pull this "fact" from?
To exist divorce, there should be marriage. Since gay people can't always marry, from where do you get those statistics?, have you interviewed every single gay couple.
Second, children are not "planned". If a woman is raped, or doesn't have enough money or social services take the children, or doesn't want to have an abortion, or is the product of incest...........well, I can keep going, just tell me in which sense is the parents' fault and why couldn't they give it away to couples who are longing to have children.
Despite the fact that gay marriages don't exist, the divorce rate for such marriages is 100%?
And prohibiting gay marriages will affect the country's birth rate?
Any other arguments?
wrong on so many counts:
they make it seem like all arguments against gay marriage are retarded. And they're not.
yes they are
the divorce rate among gay couples is 100%.
pulled straight out of your ass
our country has a very low population growth
actually, ours is embarrassingly high compared to the rest of the first world
Also the problem with orphanages is partially the parents' fault for not planning children
uh, so it's the raped person's fault for not planning her raping right?
just please, stop talking
So is there a logical argument against straight marriage since that divorce rate is purportedly between 50% and 60%?
That's a flunking grade in any school - so if straight marriage is failing why not ban it?
The more developed the area, the lower the population growth. This is due to it costing a lot of money to raise a child in a highly developed area, where as a low developed area (such as third world countries) children are often beneficial as they can be put to work and bring in more money/resources than you would have otherwise. There are more factors involved, but you get the idea.
Anyway, women in the United States are already having an average of 2 children in their lifetime where as European countries have less than 2 right now. So, I don't see your problem.
If gays are only 2% of the population, or even as high as 10%, as gay rights advocates sometimes claim, forcing them into heterosexual marriage wouldn't change population growth much.
Also, if the divorce rate among gay couples is 100% (which is a statistic you made up yourself and is probably nonsense), I'm willing to bet that the divorce rate among gay men who marry straight women or gay women who marry straight men is pretty close to 100%, too. In my own experience, I know of two gay guys and one gay women who married persons of the opposite sex. All three marriages ended in divorce fairly quickly. Marriage between people who are not sexually compatible almost always fails.
So, lemme get this straight...don't abort...don't put the kid up for adoption...just deal with the little brat, and let it grow up in a household where the parents (most likely just the mother, as I'd wager the father would have skipped town before the second trimester) where s/he is resented, and most likely neglected. Sounds like a lovely childhood to me!
...the divorce rate among gay couples is 100%
Well, since gay marriage in this country is not recognized, among gay couples there are no marriages and no divorces. So yes, 0 out of 0 can be thought of 100%. But it can equally be thought of as 0% or 30% or infinity percent or pinkfluffybunny percent. I'm afraid the math police are going to have to arrest you for statistics abuse.
Divorce rate is 100% Personal opinion being stated as fact.
Second part about 2 children - hey, guess what ... teach age appropriate sex education and not that abstinence CRAP, and teen pregnancy rates actually go DOWN! Look it up. Or can you not accept a woman shooting down your stupid ignorant drivel that you want to spout as facts. Someone give me a flame thrower for this piece of horse manure.
"There's orphans who have dead parents, and I feel bad for them, but then there's orphans with idiotic 16-year-old parents."
Um, no, there aren't. Orphans by definition do not have parents.
Let's see...
...the divorce rate among gay couples is 100%.
Wrong! Look at Canada!
...our country had a very low population growth...
Wrong! One of the highest among developed countries, in fact, last I checked.
Also the problem with orphanages is partially the parents' fault for not planning children instead of getting teen pregnant and having to give the child away.
Wrong! What about the girls who get pregnant off of rapes?
There's orphans who have dead parents, and I feel bad for them, but then there's orphans with idiotic 16-year-old parents.
Wrong! Those would be kids put up for adoption, if their biological parents (or at least one of them) were still alive.
So many things wrong in one post...
There are a logical arguments, such as the fact that the divorce rate among gay couples is 100%.
Where did you get this from? Oh yeah, you pulled it out of your ass.
our country has a very low population growth
No, it doesn't.
If you're talking about that Gay Married couple who won the amazing race that one year and then divorced and subsequently dated Lance Bass as the only gay marriage in the world, then yes, it has a 100% divorce rate...even though it isnt
"getting teen pregnant"? Ok, I understand what he's trying to say but still.
And what about the 100% gay divorce rate?
It's like the old argument that if you use a statistic in your argument, no matter if it's made up, then they are 89% more likely to believe you. BS!
Confused?
