Almost right Scarlets, almost.
Knowledge is confined to the natural as there is no method of reliably pursuing knowledge into the supernatural. How do you obtain knowledge about the supernatural? - by which I assume you mean the existence of God, but unfortunately it also includes, faries, dragons, sea-monsters, ghosts, spirits, hob-goblins, telepathy, telekinesis, tarot, ouiji, spells etc etc - by which I also mean quantifiable knowledge.
Dawkins, does not want naturalism to be the exlcusive domain of science and supernaturalism, the exclusive domain of religion. Thats pretty much how America, has got to state is in at present, "you can beleieve in whatever you want, science can't prove it so it's as valid as any other argument", wrong, wrong, *faceplant*.
Dawkins, argues that science should be applied to the supernatural, as even if it might be impossible to accurately determine the existance of God - due to lack of relevant data - it is not impossible to determine how probable the existance of God is.
Scarlet79 is actually arguing with Dawkins, in what he puts forward in 'The God Delusion', science should be allowed to dip it's hands in religion. Of course Scarlet is no doubt expecting that science will find some evidence for God, whilst Dawkins KNOWS already that there is none to be found and that science will mearly reduce God to an unlikely probability; should this happen, expect to see Scarlet back-track wildly and start spouting shit such as 'God in undefinable, un-measureable, science is un-applicable'.
Don't suggest it in the first place then, you dumb bitch! Anyone with half a brain knows that there is no scientific evidence for the existence of God, as if there were, this whole separation between science and religion would come crashing down, Kent Hovind would be waving fossils on TV saying 'look, I told you evolution was a lie, look' and every Christian, to ever use the argument 'we don't need facts we have faith', would abandon said argument and start trumpeting the facts.
If there were any facts to be had at all, don't you think church ministers, would be lauding them as proof in the existence of God? In such a world, having a doctorate in Theology would not make you a complete waste to the educational establishment and unfit to comment on any modern issues, not concered with the babblings of bronze-age goat hearders.
You fail.
