Because this is the foothold used by satan to initiate the persecution of the church.
Satan doesn't care one whit about gays and would gladly sacrifice their lives if it served his purpose. No they are the unwitting tools he will use to start the destruction of the last remaining Christian nation on earth.

He has never learned that Christians as a persecuted minority are far more dangerous to him in the long run. The wanna-bees will drop away, leaving only the commited Christians free to plug into the power of prayer and make more converts than ever before. Look at the Chinese church for instance: The communist revolution started with only a few thousand Christians in the country. Now there are untold millions upon millions!
