The first part is not entirely correct, but Christians do impinge on the religious rights of non-Christians.

I believe it was an atheist, not a Jew, who brought and won the suit that banned school sponsored prayer. Not so sure about Christians being above Jews--they're god's chosen ones. And finally, no, Americans need not tell the Jews anything about Christ or anything else for that matter.

I don't know how much "Jews" had to do with banning teacher-led prayer, although some of the original complainants may have been Jewish; but it's not hard to understand why Jews and other religious minorities would object to public schools using their captive audience to indoctrinate kids in someone else's religious beliefs.

Not quite... it was a Jew who got a specific prayer banned, (and it wasn't the Lords Prayer... it was a generic one to "Almighty God") it was a group from Long Island (including at least one Baptist, a Catholic and a UU) who got the compulsory Bible reading and Prayers stopped dead...
The Atheist part comes from the way O'hair's case was folded into the Long Island one when it reached the Supreme Court. Other than that though, atheists had bugger all to do with it.
@Titania - To be exact, the five plaintiffs in Engel v. Vitale consisted of two Jews, one atheist, one Unitarian Universalist, and one Protestant.

Really? After 2,000 years of persecution there's much to be said for that. But it's not just Christians; any violent anti-Semite will do.

It's actually about why Christians need to drop the issue, written from a Christian's perspective. The author is someone you may or may not recognize by name. He used to host MonsterVision (a late-night horror/b-movie double feature) on TNT, every Friday night, back in the 90s. As it turns out, he's also a devout Christian, and writes a lot of Christian oriented articles, under both Joe Bob Briggs, and his real name, John Bloom.
