[[In response to article about boy who left home and lived on the streets because his stepfather beat him repeatedly for being gay.]]
These people act like beating a child to make him realize that he is living a life that will make him suffer in hell for ever and ever is wrong. The father did this out of love and a broken heart. The punishment given by the boys father is nothing compared to the punishment that will be given to this boy by our Heavenly Father.

Good. Next time you aren't acting Biblically up to code, you wouldn't mind a bit of discipline with a brick stick, right? You certainly wouldn't do anything stupid like call the cops, because after all, you need to realize the error of your ways.
"These people act like beating a child to make him realize that he is living a life that will make him suffer in hell for ever and ever is wrong."
It is. The beating is wrong. The belief that he will burn in hell is wrong. The belief that he has a right to dictate his son's sexuality is wrong. It really is very simple.
Also: Abusive parenting for/by Jesus.
"These people act like beating a child to make him realize that he is living a life that will make him suffer in hell for ever and ever is wrong."
Can I beat you until you realize just how stupid you are and how wrong it is to inflict it on the rest of us?
"The father did this out of love and a broken heart."
It's one thing to pull this "love" bullshit when you're talking about your invisible friend after all the atrocities recorded in the Babble; it's something else entirely to try to label abuse as "love" when it happens in reality.
"The punishment given by the boys father is nothing compared to the punishment that will be given to this boy by our Heavenly Father."
Wow. And you don't see anything at all wrong with such an idea?
The punishment given by the boys father is nothing compared to the punishment that will be given to this boy by our Heavenly Father.
And yet God is a loving God...Heartless bitch. That boy has more sense than you.

That's just as sickening as this:
"These people act like beating your wife to make her realize that she is inferior to you is wrong. The husband did this out of love and a broken heart."
Different scenarios, but the same repulsive heartlessness and victim blaming.
It always amuses me that those who try to claim that their view and theirs alone is the only moral view actually tend to be astronomical assholes, topped only by rapists, murderers, and kidnappers... and I'm wondering whether you're one or not.
"The father did this out of love and a broken heart."
I don't care if his father's fucking dying of AIDS, you can't beat someone for being gay.
"The punishment given by the boys father is nothing compared to the punishment that will be given to this boy by our Heavenly Father."
Also doesn't justify anything, even if you could prove it.
Saved Girl? The irony makes me choke!
That's it, I declare a war on brainlessness such as this for the rest of forever. Please, do it for the babies.
It wasn't his father, and regardless of that, the fact that that man had no business beating anyone totally escapes you, doesn't it? News flash, you cure 'TEH GAY' by beating someone.
How about I beat the heterosexuality out of you? Yeah, works for me.
not even the father, the STEPfather, ie a man with no blood ties, no inbuilt paternal love.
Love and a broken heart had nothing to do with it.
Xianity probably had nothing to do with it.
Having a fag as a stepson had EVERYTHING to do with it.
Luke 11
11 "Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, . . .
You're even more evil than the people Jesus called evil. Care to guess where you're going when you die?
The father did this out of love and a broken heart.
FUCK! YOU! There is no way anyone can claim to love a child, and then boot him out on the street. That makes the father (And I use that term is the STRICTEST biological sense, as no one that would do such a thing deserves to be called a father in any other sense) a contemptuous, bigoted cumstain. He is a monster, and I truly hope karma gives him everything he deserves. The kid broke his heart? Fuck you. What he did to the kid likely devastated him...not that I expect someone like you to account for any little faggot's feelings.
Bitch.

"not even the father, the STEPfather, ie a man with no blood ties, no inbuilt paternal love."
As the father of three adopted children, I must protest. A man can love his children with all his heart, even if they do not share genes.
That being said, the father who beat his son for being gay has no love in his heart. People do not assault each other out of love. They do so out of fear and egoism. If god sentences the boy to hell, he/she/it is also doing so out of fear and egoism.
Tell me again why we should be praising him/her/it
He did it out of love, huh?
Well, come here, I want to show you how much I 'love' you...
I hope someday, the stepfather is shown some 'love' too.
And herein lies the true danger of religious faith in that it can be used to justify this kind of behavior and make it seem moral. I do not believe that this kids dad was evil, I just think that he thought he was doing what the creator of the universe wanted him to do. Kind of like the 19 men who flew planes into buildings on 9/11.
The "Heavenly Father" is absolutely the least of this poor kid's worries.
As for SavedGirl and the kid's stepfather, I reckon they should find a nice vat of toxic waste and drown in it. They'd be right at home in it.
so the "kind , loving" description of God is like the way an abused kid describes his abuser ?
good to know.
You do not punish a person for something outside their control. It serves no purpose.
Confused?
