I suggest world peace will never be achieved as long as talking and praying "annoys the hell" out of atheists.

I suggest that world peace will never be achieved as long as people think praying does anything, and that preaching is the same as simply talking. We need to get along, true, but we also need to actually make steps to understand each other and actually work for peace instead of hoping that it is given to us from on high.
Pray your brains out, no reason you should do that so annoyingly. It's supposed to be a personal relationship you 'Redemption through Jesus' people claim.
It's just that you sometimes insist on being annoying, that you insist we must accept ceremony, that you think your belief's a badge of authority.
Peace will come when we all realize we're on equal footing: Me, You, Priest, Politician, Rock star, Day-laborer, Banker. Our best policies are secular, now and historically.
You can pray all you want. It's when you start persecuting and killing people who don't believe in the same god the same way as you do, that we get miffed.
I watched a program on TV the other day about the persecution of Christians around the world. As Christianity is the largest religion, the majority of persecuted religious people are Christian. I sat in exasperation, almost crying, wondering why people can't let other people live their lives their way.
In Egypt the Copts were persecuted by the Muslims. Divorce is allowed according to Islam, but not for the Copts. They considered it adultery if a divorced person married again. Many women converted to Islam to get away from violent husbands.
In India the Christians were persecuted by the Hindus, who didn't like the Christian idea of the equal value of all people. They wanted them to follow the Caste system.
In Russia the Evangelicals were persecuted by the Russian Orthodox people. The Orthodox couldn't allow all people to enjoy the new freedom to be religious, but said "we have a free religion now, it's Russian Orthodox, we don't need any more". (A bit of "we learn from history that we don't learn anything from history...")
Confused?
