['You're avoiding the question. Andrea Yates acted on those beliefs. Why didn't God stop her, if it wasn't actually His will? If it was His will, what the hell are you doing grovelling and worshipping Him? He's a monster.']
Why didn’t God stop (Andrea Yates) (or Hitler or the countless serial killers)? Maybe because no one asked Him to intervene.

Please god give this poor person a new brain. The one you gave him at birth was defective.
Now, when my wish has been granted by the genie in the sky you are welcome to come back and try to explain again how your god has ever intervened when asked for anything, let alone asked for mass murder to stop by millions upon millions of good hearted, religious people.
That's right. The entire armies of the UK, Free France, Canada and the late-comer USA were arrayed against Hitler and no one thought to ask God to intervene.
Not too bright, are they? I'm certainly not going to join a religion with that many morons.
"Why didn’t God stop (Andrea Yates) (or Hitler or the countless serial killers)? Maybe because NO ONE asked him to intervene."
Ignoring the fact that millions of people surely prayed for deliverance from the Nazis, and many victims of serial killers and mass murderers surely did likewise (all without apparent effect), this poster pretty much is suggesting that God cannot do anything for anyone without being asked to do so -- rather like the supernatural prohibition against a djinni helping the master of the lamp except in response to him making an explicitly stated wish (and then often proceeding to screw that up as much as possible).
I'm sorry, but "works in mysterious ways" just DOES NOT cut it here.

"God's" beneficence depends on his being asked? So, murder, child abuse, rape, theif, off-color jokes, Don King's hair and other sins are allowed by "God" because the persons close to the sins didn't pray to "God?" What a waste of time and effort is your deity.
Okay, just to make sure that this argument is never, ever made again:
Dear God, please intervene in the matter of Andrea Yates and Hitler.
(what? Your God is bound by time? And that somehow isn't contradictory to omnipotence?)
Just because you are stupid, don't expect me to believe that nobody, in either of your examples prayed to god. I'm guessing you don't have the one voice in your head that is actually beneficial, the one that says, "I wouldn't say that if I were you. Maybe you should rethink your position on that." Then again, that would imply that you thought about what you said to begin with.
Easily one of the stupidest things I have ever read.
He thinks that Jews, Polish people, gays, political disadents, and the handicapped did not pray to God to save them. Fuck, even the atheists probably prayed once a twice. What a fucking idiot.
Yes, because out of the 6 million Jews Hitler killed, not one of them thought to pray for help. Nuh-uh. Not even one. Nope. Nada.
P.S. Sandman, my opinion entirely.
Yes. Maybe no one asked. Maybe.
Then again, maybe not.
I heard recently that Hitler was only able to rise to power because The Doctor didn't try to stop him. Makes more sense.
Hey, God here ... sorry, kids. Yeah, I know it sucks and someone is about to kill you and all, but I just checked the request forms and no one apparently has asked me to use my unlimited mercy and unlimited power to stop this gross injustice. Can't do a thing without the proper paperwork, you know. Sorry. Them's the rules. My rules, sure, but rules nonetheless.
But the German army had That motto on belt buckles (Gods with Us ? ) , so God clearly favored the Nazis until Hitler attacked Norway, then Odin stepped in and defeated him.
You dont think a victim is going to say at some point "God help me" ?
You may notice the majority of Jews now are observing cultural heritage and not depending on God or prayer to save or help them. The Jews of Hitlers Germany practiced passive resistance, they'd talk you out of shit maybe but refused to use violence. To their undoing.
Those poor, peaceful victims prayed to God to be released from the horror and were only allowed the release of death after they prayed for months.
I believe the Hissadic Jews may tolerate all Earthly trial without fighting back but I think they're a fragment of the overall Jewish population. Israels certainly not governed by that idea.
Confused?
