As a practitioner and teacher of meditation, I think I can safely say that binaural beats, which is a phenomenon that really does enhance meditation, is no more dangerous than listening to the sound of rainfall or ocean waves when meditating.
Naturally headphones are stereo: bi naural.
I prefer Sennheiser ones, as Beats by Dr. Dre have extremely potent effects on Apple's income after they bought that brand from him, making him the world's first billionaire gangsta rapper; they bought it for $3.2 billion.
Sennheiser, AKG or Bose, y'can't go wrong. Never skimp on your personal audio enjoyment.
Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Jean-Michel Jarre or the late great Isao Tomita activates my sound glands, stimulating my imagination at whatever frequency.
I prefer cooking for meditation. Works for me. 2 hours in the kitchen, making us some really fancy tomato soup and all my fears and stress just went.
@Don
Actually, since you seem like you might have some experience, what would you say about what i just wrote, it wasn`t some jab or a joke, I honestly feel like most folks describe being in a meditative state when I get to cooking, do you think it`s possbile?
@Skide :
There are lots of ways to meditate, including cooking. The main thing is to let the mind rest one one thing, whether it's a sound (mantra), a word (like "om" or any other word, really), a mandala, which is visual, or a movement, like in tai chi or yoga. The western version of this is getting immersed in any activity like cooking or knitting.
You are correct.
Confused?
