I'll tell you what it is all about....
Its probably the Biofield that makes dowsing, reiki, spontaneous healing etc. possible. Its as simple as that.
Why has science not found any biofield yet? Well....Science has not found so many things all these years. So...what's the big deal? Secondly no one is looking for it and no one knows the right methods to detect it either.

You mean, like those double blind studies that find that the effect of prayer is indistinguishable from random chance? That method of detection?
Seems pretty straightforward to prove that "dowsing, reiki, spontaneous healing etc." are possible, THEN acquire funding to narrow it down...
I'm sure the medical field would be ecstatic if it found a way of using the biofield for spontaneous healing on a consistent basis. Unfortunately, anecdotal reports don't constitute evidence, so you would need to gather enough substantiated reports (that means photos, before and after x-rays and CAT scans, etc.) to demonstrate that there's something there to be found. Then you can start looking for grant money to identify the sources and capabilities of the biofield.
"I'll tell you what it is all about...."
You put your right foot in,
You take your right foot out,
You put your right foot in,
And you shake it all about.
You do the Hokey-Pokey and you turn yourself about.
THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!
Bullshit is infinite, therefore it can't be measured or detected in any normal sense of the word.
The "biofield" would be much easier to explore from an objective standpoint if the OP could define not merely what it supposedly does, but also what it is ; what it might be made of, and where it may be located.
Oh, by all means, investigate the "biofield".
...taking bets which Daemon makes Sriram's soul its bitch.
I misread Biofield as Blofeld (as in James Bond villain who runs Spectre) lol.
Now I'm just imagining Spectre makes new age-y healing actually effective for people... you know, for a price and the occasional "favor", of course.
But as for the actual post, the human mind is a powerful thing. New age healing seems to work because new agers want them to work. However, even the stubbornest of minds cannot deny reality long term and if the placebo effect doesn't cure whatever the issue is (by relaxing the body so bacteria evolved to thrive when the body is in high alert struggles to survive and eventually dies, for example) or it doesn't get resolved within the timeframe of the placebo effect, it will come back to cause problems and more new age healing will probably not help in the slightest.
Dowsing, reiki, and "spontaneous healing" don't actually work, so maybe, perhaps, possibly, your "biofield" doesn't exist. D'ya think?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
