(on the subject of homosexuality and marriage)
For heterosexuals, it is a bond with God. What do same-sexs make a bond with?

Uhm, you know, even though I am a guy and I've had relationships with guys, I have also had relationships with women (yes, bisexuality does exist) and I must tell you... God was never involved, even though those relationships were heterosexual in nature.
Actually, the homosexual and heterosexual relationships were kind of the same, both when it comes to love and lust. So I guess you fail? "Same-sexs" bond with the same as "different-sexs"; each other, in (hopefully, usually) beautiful love.
As usual, the arrogant god-botherers have trouble conceiving of people who don't think the way they do. Plenty of heterosexuals don't see any necessity for religion or "God" in their marriages.
Dpareja in the first comment said it as well and succinctly as it can be. I'm just dittoing.
My sister is not bonded to god, christian or otherwise. Judge no priest, priestess, pastor, or other religious leader was involved.

Alright, let's clear something up here: All these fundie morons (be they Muslim or Christian) are MISREADING THE OLD TESTAMENT IN REGARDS TO HOMOSEXUALITY (great now I'M shouting in caps....)! The phrase "abomination" as applied in the Old Testament (as many Jewish and Christian scholars can attest to) means a "ritual impurity" or something which would otherwise negatively impact the Israelites as a whole. Eating shellfish was an "abomination" as was planting seeds incorrectly. Homosexuality was considered an "abomination" because gay sex didn't end in procreation and the Israelites needed to procreate for their tribe to survive (ergo, it is better to fornicate with a woman than a man with a man or woman with a woman or to just jack off because those options didn't create more Jewish soldiers to fight against the other tribes). I, and many Jews who understand the damn Old Testament, can say that humanity is passed the stage where these actions should be banned. So, fundies, learn your damn Babble in the future!

Everything you fundies personally like to do is deemed bonding with God, and the fact that your kids can repeat your dogma back to you is a miracle, you have insights that are not available to the common expert, and if you're lucky, you get to see demons. It's like you're on LSD permanently.
How does that work? Does it apply to bigamous relationships? Civil marriages? Polygamous marriages? Re-marriage after divorce? Marriage in other religions? Defacto marriages?
In terms of evidence, how could you demonstrate your claim to someone who didn't already believe that? Because in all matters, if you can't do that, what you have is not fact, but bullshit.
For heterosexuals, it is a bond with God.
So when you get divorced, why do you willfully break your "bond with God"?
As a liberal Catholic preparing for marriage, I beg to differ. Marriage is a bond with your spouse. Many people of faith choose to make that bond a public covenant before God (thus a religious marriage ceremony), but it is not a bond with God.
Because of this erroneous belief, Fundies notoriously treat single adults as lesser Christians.
Faith + 1
"I wanna get down on my knees and start pleasing Jesus, I wanna feel his salvation all over my face."
"Body of Christ sleek swimmer's body all muscled up and toned! The body of Christ oh lord almighty, I wish I could call it my own!"
"Whenever I see Jesus up on that cross, I can't help but think that he looks kinda hot."
For everybody in America, it is a bond with the state. I still don't understand how the fundies can claim that marriage is a religious institution. You can't get married without a marriage license, issued NOT by the church, but by the local courthouse. In other words, the government.
Um... I thought marriage was supposed to be a bond with your spouse. I thought that was like, you know, the point? Not to mention, if you're going to ban homosexuals from marrying because they can't have a "bond with god" then are you going to ban heterosexual couples that don't believe in god too?
Each other! Can you possibly be so thick?
I hope you enjoyed being married to God.
There once was a lady, how odd,
Who claimed she was married to God.
The Deity, of course
Got a Reno divorce,
He now prods a young boy with his rod.
I have never heard of someone having sex who wasn't making a bond with God, so I really don't know what you are getting at.
Incidentally, I have heard people use other names, like Christ and Jesus, but some things, like "shit", should never be declared holy. And you should never say "fuck" to God's face, even if it's the ritual you choose to bond with God in. In the future, please refrain from insulting God while you are bonding with him.
Considering that marriage is now a legal union rather than a religious one, I'd say that same-sex couples bond with each other.
It's no longer the Church that determines whether or not someone is married, or allowed to get married, because even if you want to hold the ceremony in a religious institution, you'll still need a license from the government stating that you are allowed to get married in the first place.
"Well I try to live by the bible, but it tells me that my thoughts arnt right.
But those particular pages might be stuck together from the little bit of sinning I did last night
Because they told me to love Jesus
I chose an alternative route
Well I so sad when he was in that cave but I was thrilled when he came out
Well Im gay for Jesus, fill me with your grace
I said pour your love all over me but please aim away from my face."
-Bo Burnham's 'Sunday School'.
I don't know, maybe with each other?
If I remember it correctly it was said to be a bond made BEFORE God (as in "in front of him"), not WITH him.
but in being a heterosexual guy, wouldn't being married to an old guy with a beard in the sky kinda, I don't, make you gay and not heterosexual? Oh, and of course, that same god person created rainbows didn't he? Kinda makes you think don't it?
"For heterosexuals, it is a bond with God."
So male fundies are bi? You said it SonicFanFuentes, we didn't!
No, for Christians, it's a bond with God. For Christian homosexuals, it's also a bond with God.
For us non-religious people, it's a bond with the person we're about to marry.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
