Abortion and gay rights are issues 1 & 2 for me! Why? B/c both are an abomination to God. If we go down the tubes, it won't be b/c of illegal immigrants, socialism, or terrorists, etc., but b/c we as a nation thumb our nose at God about abortion and gay rights.

The killing of the unborn is a misdemeanor at best according to the OT. So what's the problem? And the bible isn't against gay rights/marriages. Just the gay sex part. And if you'd read a bit further, one or two verses, you'll see that adulterers should suffer the same punishment as the people performing gay sex. Add the looking at women with lust equals being an adulterer and everyone should be killed.
We are so lucky that you decide to uphold all those OT laws and commandments.
If America goes "down the tubes," it'll be because of the fear, ignorance, prejudice, and willful stupidity of many of the fundies one finds posting on the Free Conservatives website.
Just sayin'.
There are so many stupid laws in the bible why does this dolt pick these. Well, actually the bible says nothing for the "pro-life" position, but you get my point. Does Dajoga avoid all shellfish? Pork? Even playing American football is forbidden as it involves touching part of the carcass of a pig. Does s/he not travel or cook on the Sabbath?
If this country goes down the tubes, it's because of idiots like you who care more about who fucks whom than about education, the economy, the environment, healthcare, infrastructure, etc., and who vote accordingly.

In the back of the truck,
If you ain't Born Again,
They wanna mess you up, screamin':
"No abortion, no-siree!"
"Life's too precious, can't you see!"
What's that hangin' from the neighbor's tree?
Why, it looks like 'colored folks' to me!
Ever notice how the most important issues to a fundie have to do with sex? And each issue is an attempt to control someone else's freedom to do with their body as they see fit. They always argue that humans have "freewill" when asked about certain aspects of accepting Jesus and/or God, but make a choice about who you have sex with or what you might choose to do due to the consequences of having sex, and Oh, hell no, freewill goes out the window. So what it boils down to for fundies is THEIR control of YOU!
Right! We'll really mess up our nation by giving freedom to everyone! After all, the BuyBull clearly has a very negative view on freedom. It's bad enough that we give rights to women at all, but the right to control their own bodies? Why are fundies against abortion anyway? The BuyBull condones it. Oh, wait, the BuyBull says that men are "superior," and banning abortion is a way of oppressing women without putting men at risk.
Over at Theology Online, many of the same people who denounced Phelps, voted that gays should get the death penalty, just for being gay.
Honestly, what do you expect from FC?
I love how the religious right blames these tiny things for ALL AMERICA'S PROBLEMS OMG
Where are all their complaints about divorced people getting married? That's just as bad, if not worse, according to their invisible sky man.
Eating shrimp & wearing mixed fabrics are issues 1 & 2 for me! Why? B/c both are an abomination to God. If we go down the tubes, it won't be b/c of illegal immigrants, socialism or terrorists but b/c we as a nation thumb our nose at Gawd about eating shelfish & wearing poly blends.

These people will focus on any aspect of the Bible, regardless of how tiny it is or whether Jesus mentioned it or not (or indeed, in the case of abortion, whether it was mentioned anywhere in the Bible) to avoid having to actually follow the teachings of their supposed saviour.
So making abortion, and same-sex marriage/LGBT rights illegal will create jobs and reduce the national debt, is that what you're saying...?! [/hyper-sarcasm]
...so, I guess the phrase in political circles 'It's the ECONOMY, stupid!' passed you by, eh? Well, at least you lot have your priorities all sorted out. [/hyper-sarcasm II]
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
