No, I'm not kidding.
Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron are among the very few high profile Bible-believing Christians in the world. That makes it all the more the shame to see one of them ruin his great work for no good reason with an unnecessary & nefarious endorsement.

FYI, the endorsement Navaros is pissed off over is from the Duggars regarding a film by Ray called 'Evolution vs. God: Shaking the Foundations of Faith'.
No, Ray and Kirk are not particularly high profile. I doubt my mum has heard of either of them (that's the yardstick I personally use, anyway). There are plenty of other famous people who are Christian, they just aren't blithering idiots about it.

Yes. Bright yellow, curved ones that don't squirt in your face when peeled open, and can easily fit in a human hand. God also has them, and having those is what makes fundamentalist Christians so special, as they were made in the "image of God". These fundies mock those of other beliefs for not having them, and cite them as the "worst nightmare".

I believe it's a quote from Sander Gilman who is a humanities professor at Emory University.
He's talking about the social sciences, although for some reason he includes biology, and not the hard sciences.
Here's the quote in context.
“Unlike the fictions of high art,’ the fictions of psychology, biology, anthropology, sociology, genetics, and medicine relate, directly or tangentially, to perceived realities. Their point of departure is not the assumptions of a closed world of fiction but the nature of humanity. But the very act of perception is of course colored by our mental representations of the world. Science creates fictions to explain facts, and an important criterion for endorsing these fictions is their ideological acceptability. Science, in spite of its privileged status in the West as arbiter of reality, is in this respect a blood relation of art.”
What Sanders overlooks is that science's "privileged status in the West as arbiter of reality" exists because it fucking works.

Comment right after that one on originating site.
"Ray Comfort is a sick, twisted con man who lives of the gullibility and ignorance of others. Not to mention their pain. If anything they make Christianity look awful. You really cant see that?"
Nuff said, True believers.
Confused?
