Idiot, did you know not all atheists are homosexuals or dug users? Did you also know that there are Christian homosexuals and drug users? Furthermore, homosexuality does not need to be cured and some drugs (like the excedrine I now need) are good.
It would be interesting to see a (gasp) scientific study of how these poor abused children of the jesus camps are coping with life ten, twenty even thirty years from now. How many would be in prison? How may would be drug addicts? How many would have committed suicide? And, to be fair, how many would be living happy lives?
What about homosexual drug abusers who *aren't* atheists?
What about atheists who aren't homosexuals or drug abusers?
What about drug abusers who aren't gay or atheist?

The two filmmakers who made Jesus Camp stated, on the Jesus Camp DVD Commentary Track, that they would love to re-visit the kids featured in their documentary in about 10 years, just to see how they turned out.

Shouldn't you be addressing this to gays, instead of atheist in general? No all atheist are gay, nor all gays atheists.
And as for the overcoming bit: there's no need to overcome nothing, i don't have a drug problem. For the other thing to overcome, that's a thing in your head, that you should overcome.

I didn't know I had any homosexuality or drug abuse to overcome. I (as a woman) am married to a man since 1997 (we've been together since 1987, we celebrated our tenth anniversary by getting married), the only drug I'm taking is doctor-prescribed, and if anything, I take too few of it.
When I was little, my mother was a Sunday school teacher. I can still remember the smell of the glue from the stickers that her pupils had to lick and stick to the right place in the Sunday School book (she let me have one too).
She never, ever forced any kind of faith onto any of her four children. Sure, some of us are Christian, some Deists, at least one atheist and perhaps one agnostic. Guess it's about one of each, then... Three of us had the confirmation (not I, but mum still loves me unconditionally).
Except, ah, I'm not gay nor do I do drugs. Even if I was gay and mainlining ten times a day, I'd rather walk through Cairo with an "I Love Mubarak" sign around my neck than attend Jesus camp.

I'm straight. And I don't do drugs. I don't drink (much, 21st birthday didn't count), smoke, or hate on random people. But I'm also an agnostic atheist.
