President Trump has so far failed to deliver on his repeated promises to do everything in his power to protect the religious liberty of people of faith and faith-based groups. The Executive Order he signed last week was empty of any meaningful protections when it comes to those who have been targeted by the government for their beliefs about marriage, gender and human sexuality.

Yep, Trump did a photo op signing or a "religious freedoms" bill that experts say has no standing in law AT ALL. Desperate to tweek his approval numbers, no qualms about being a total fraud.
I'm betting it'll fire a lot of court cases up though. The crowd he's pandering to with this don't recognize the meaning of the first amendment as clear as it is, they'll run with this proclamation from on high.
The Drumpf doesn't care about religion one way or the other, silly-nilly. He might have promised to protect the Religious Right snowflakes, in order to get their votes, but that's about it. You ought to have known HIS beliefs about marriage, gender and human sexuality well before the election day, dearie. A person who's on his third marriage, who has been adulterous with his future wives while he was married to the previous wives, who brags about sexually assaulting women, is not a person who's going to fight to protect "traditional" marriage and "morals".
You are free to think whatever you want about marriage, gender and human sexuality, but so is everyone else. When you want to restrict OTHER people's liberties, to conform with YOUR beliefs, you're in very deep water. You're free to marry whoever that consents, but so is everyone else. As long as everyone involved are consenting and adults, you can have whatever sex you want, as often as you want, or not have any sex at all, if that is what you want. What you can't do is to force your sexuality onto others.
If you're National Organization for Marriage, you ought to be happy that even more people can get married nowadays. Right? Right...?

It took you this long to catch on?

...but otherwise, good . Are you going to be the ones wearing hats/T-shirts with the slogan 'Don't Blame Me: I Voted For Hillary' on such?
At least she is a Christian.
After all: has Donald Fart openly declared that he is 'Born Again' and acknowledges your J-boy as his 'Saviour'...?!
So you voted for Obama in 2012, amirite...?! [/Mitt 'Magic Pants' Romney]
Has your 'Emprah' signed an 'Executive Order' removing that legal Sword of Damocles over Kim Il-Davis' head? If your answer is the only one possible, then congratulations: Wiggy has played you 'Religious Reich' retards - thinking Donald Fart would be Ronnie Raygun Mk. II - for the schmucks you really are.
Good II. [/hyper-Schadenfreude ] >:D

You could have stopped right there. Trump has repeatedly shown that he has no understanding of how the government works, US and world history, or anything else other that screwing over other people to make himself richer. What can we expect from a man who brags about the fact that he hasn't got the attention span necessary to read anything longer than a Reader's Digest article?
@ Churchy LaFemme
He can read?
That's right; Trump's a fraud. Too bad you had to spend the ten seconds a year of mental clarity you're alloted on solving that puzzle.
Beyond that, no Brian, you are not being in any way persecuted. You are, in fact, too privileged: Does your organisation pay taxes on money collected? (In the unlikely event that you do pay, I can only hope it's the start of a trend.)
Realistically speaking, he can't executively order any meaningful protection. He can only issue directives to federal entities such as the DOJ. However, discrimination cases like you're talking about are overwhelmingly state issues, lacking as they do any obvious connection to interstate commerce or anything else that would make them federal in scope.
You jackdonkeys remember "states' rights", right? Well, this is where that doctrine gets you. (Yeah, yeah, I know: you only mean the states' rights to discriminate against blacks and have prayer in school. Too bad for you.)
@Nemo: Isn't it obvious? He believes whatever is most convenient for him at any given moment.
Confused?
